Cricket was so popular in the US once that even George Washington played a form of it but then it became a victim of the Civil War. USA kickoff a historic T20 World Cup upbeat from a stunning series win against Bangladesh just a few days ago. USA might be minnows but they seem to have put together a team that can cause an upset or two in the course of this campaign. They do have a few exciting players to watch out as former Kiwi all-rounder, Corey Anderson makes his return to the big stage as well. 

1. Canada (Playing XI) - Aaron Johnson, Navneet Dhaliwal, Pargat Singh, Nicholas Kirton, Shreyas Movva (WK), Dilpreet Bajwa, Saad Bin Zafar (C), Dilon Heyliger, Nikhil Dutta, Kaleem Sana, Jeremy Gordon.

It is 10:20 AM on Sunday morning here and I still missed toss points.

Pitch and conditions: Despite the rain, the outfield looks unbelievable, says Natalie Germanos. Huge moment under the sun for both the teams. Cricket in USA hasn't been a regular thing but ICC has done its level best to market this amazing sport in the USA and finally we have the WC in 2024 happening in the States. Canada has had an in and out affair at the WCs. They were part of the 1979 WC but haven't quite taken major leaps in this sport.

Despite so much of rain, the outfield seems to be superb. This is going to be a keenly contested game. The opening ceremony about to get done.
