Lakshdweep is an ecologically vulnerable zone. People of Lakshdweep i.e. fellow Indian citizens do not want its commercialisation. They do not wish to be displaced from their land and sea just so that rich people get to make profit off fancy resorts, villas, parapets.

If people (read rich celebs) really cared about Lakshdweep or its people, they would have spoken about it ages ago lol.

Like I said, care so much about #IndianIslands, go live like locals and care about their preservation.

you are othering not me. how do you know people of lakshadweep will get displaced ?you have seen the plan ? are there any project in paper ?

some people have issue in everything. the real issue is apparent. dweep is a muslim majority land so we will not allow indian government to have any kind of control over our land.

helo guys dweep is part of india. nobody is going to displace anyone. if tourism is developed each one of us including people of dweep will benefit.
