World Children's Day is commemorated by the United Nations on 20 November 2023, as it is the date in 1959 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, and also the date in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child

Happy Children's Day 2023: History, Significance, Importance and all you need to know about 'Bal Diwas' - Times of India

“Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man.”

~ Rabindranath Tagore

Do you remember how it was to be a child?

To believe in the magic and wonders of life.

To want to be everything at once.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy5ZhHuNbcQ

They say children are a gift of God, 'taare zameen par' (stars on earth) which is why every child, irrespective of colour, caste, orientation and abilities deserves a happy and healthy childhood, not tainted with unrealistic expectations, impossible realities, and broken families. It is an unfortunate reality for many children, which is why we should both acknowledge and promise that we will not continue this toxic cycle.

Despite all this, a typical 80s/90s/00s/10s childhood was filled with fond memories of playing in playgrounds, video games and watching cartoons/tv shows with friends and family, which is why given a choice, most of us would love to go back and relive it.

On that note, let us all embrace our inner child and share some nostalgic memories through music!

This can include songs featured on/for children, title songs, nursery rhymes, anything that defined your childhood! Would be a bonus if you can give a background on why that particular song means so much to you, but to each their own :)

Great and apt theme,  Dhunismiley27 Children are divine beings who find joy in the little things. Their innocent smiles bring you immense joy, and their love for us is boundless.

Having children is a life-changing event. Even with all the inconveniences like early wake-ups, busy schedules, and outbursts, you wouldn't trade it for anything. We couldn't imagine our life without our kids because they brought a whole new kind of love into it. It's not always simple, though, to find the appropriate words to express how much we adore them.

Song: Nanhe Munne Bachche Tere

Movie: Boot Polish (1954)

Singer(s): Asha Bhosle , Mohammed Rafi

Music Director: Shankar Jaikishan

Lyrics: Shailendra
