World Children's Day is commemorated by the United Nations on 20 November 2023, as it is the date in 1959 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, and also the date in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
“Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man.”
~ Rabindranath Tagore
Do you remember how it was to be a child?
To believe in the magic and wonders of life.
To want to be everything at once.

They say children are a gift of God, 'taare zameen par' (stars on earth) which is why every child, irrespective of colour, caste, orientation and abilities deserves a happy and healthy childhood, not tainted with unrealistic expectations, impossible realities, and broken families. It is an unfortunate reality for many children, which is why we should both acknowledge and promise that we will not continue this toxic cycle.

Despite all this, a typical 80s/90s/00s/10s childhood was filled with fond memories of playing in playgrounds, video games and watching cartoons/tv shows with friends and family, which is why given a choice, most of us would love to go back and relive it.

On that note, let us all embrace our inner child and share some nostalgic memories through music!
This can include songs featured on/for children, title songs, nursery rhymes, anything that defined your childhood! Would be a bonus if you can give a background on why that particular song means so much to you, but to each their own :)
Music in any language, from any region and era is welcome.
Thank You.
