Chapter 2

Sameer slowly helped him to lie down on the bed and during all this time Arjun just wanted to hug him and cry- Cry as much as possible. But all this feeling he threw out of the window with a cold "Thank you!"

Sameer gazed at him disbelieved at what he heard. But seeing no change in Arjun's expression he didn't press much. He left from there quietly for his study.

Arjun was alone in his room and now he had all the time to himself. He recollected each and every detail about the past. From the time Sakshi entered till the time she disappeared in the hospital. After Sikandar's death there was not a single minute he shifted his concentration from Sakshi. What she was doing, where she was going everything was being checked upon.

Her first day in ETF when she introduced herself and her work. "Main Sakshi Anand. ETF ke kaam ko cover karke logon tak pahunchane aayi hun." she introduced herself as she forwarded her hand for a handshake.

Arjun too to maintain the professionalism shook hands with her. "Toh publicist?" He reframed her work but Sakshi would not budge down easily.

"Not exactly! Lekin agar aap kuch galat karoge toh agle din paper mein pad lena." she sarcastically stated which left Arjun in thoughts.

He didn't like her! He wanted her to be out from the team. According to him she was not capable enough to work in such a high intensity situation, and he thought it would be better if she continued with her desk job.

That time they had a fight and Sakshi left the cabin saying "Tum mere zindagi ka rukh nahi badal sakte ACP Arjun Rawate. Agle 24 ghante ke andar main wapas aaungi." she challenged and so did she complete it.

Home ministry had ordered for her to be a part of the force. Arjun's ego was stamped at that moment itself and when he entered he could hear her say "Arjun ki chutti."

There was a knock on the door and as soon as he heard it the train of thoughts came to a halt.

"Khana bana raha hun. Kya khaoge?" Sameer stood at the door and asked.

"Kuch bhi!" Arjun replies and Sameer nods his head and leaves. He knows Arjun will call him "Rathore!" comes the call.

"Haan?" He asks trying hard to control his smirk.

"Thoda chatpata banana." he orders and Sameer rolls his eyes and leaves. Arjun was tensed if in his "Kuch bhi" Sameer had included bland food. Hence he specified.

Sameer knew he would call back to specify and that when it comes to food, Arjun has to throw his ego aside.

Here Arjun got back on the train and tried to link every incident attached to Sakshi again, hoping to find some clue.

"But how did she do it? Does she have contact with such high officials? If she has, she could have been a part of any big organization why only ETF?" he thought and now he wanted answers for all these questions.

Here Sakshi reached home and rushed to her baba. She gave him a tight hug and tears flowed down her eyes. "Baba ek baar aankhen toh kholiye na. Please! Mere liye." she pleaded as the news which she wanted to give was very big. She wanted her baba to understand what she was saying.

Angad Deshmukh: Sakshi's Dad! A very prominent journalist of his time. His articles about crime and corruption, scams and kala bazari could get many politicians and businessmen behind the bars. AVery daring and honest journalist. He kept his work ethics and principles above his own life. Currently in comma.

Though she always felt her baba understands her even when in comma, today she wanted him to open his eyes. Sakshi let go of her idea and slowly whispered in his ears "Baba Sikandar mar gaya. Arjun ne unhe maar dala."

Her Baba's eyes made a soft movement but she didn't notice it. The ECG machine changed the graph and listening to it Sakshi called the nurse "Sister sister!!" She panicked as she called her loudly. Soon the nurse came in and checked.

After sometime it went back to normal and Sakshi heaved a sigh of relief. Nurse left from there to inform the matter to the doctor.

"Baba aap jaldi theek ho jayiye na. Please. Aapki Sakshi thak gayi hai." she cried and cried.

Her cries were stopped when the doctor arrived on hearing the condition of Sakshi's father.

Dr. Vatsal Anand: Childhood friend of Sakshi's dad and very much attached to Sakshi and Angad. He lost his wife and son in an accident and after that he considers Angad and Sakshi as a part of his family. He is currently incharge of Angad's treatment and is doing everything possible to get him back.

"Sakshi beta relax! Kuch zyada nahi hua. Aapne Angad ko Sikandar ke baare mein bataya?" He asked calmly and Sakshi nodded in positive. "Toh issiliye Angad khushi ke maare phule nahi sama paya. Koi major baat nahi hai." he assured and Sakshi hugged him tightly.

"Thank you Vatsal uncle." Sakshi said as she parted. Vatsal also had to leave for an important appointment and he couldn't keep the patient waiting for long.

"Raat ko jaldi aana Dr. Vatsal Anand! Aapka intezaar rahega hum dono ko." Sakshi said as she bid him a goodbye.

"Theek hai. Lekin gudiya aaj kheer zaroor banana. Itni khushi ki baat jo hai. Khana hum bahar se order kardenge." He suggested, and with a warm smile he left.

"Chalo kheer toh bana hi sakti hun main aaj!" saying so Sakshi walked to the kitchen.
