Producers of BV wouldn't make the film with Ranveer - Anurag Kashyap - Page 2

The sense of entitlement 😆

Casting of BV was likely done somewhere around 2013 or so.. Ranveer hadn't really proven his mettle till that time.. the success of RL was never really fully attributed to him.. So producers not wanting to spend such a huge amount on him was perfectly understandable and justified..

While Ranbir was coming from the fresh the critical success of Rockstar, and commercial successes of Barfi and YJHD.. thus, he was considered more bankable

Matlab anything to prove that the "system" was against Ranveer😆 and the system went for Rajeev over Ranveer😆

the producers were willing to put their money on ranbir  because he was known for his amazing acting talent/star powers in the years before and  not because he was a star kids🤡 that the film was bad and didnt worked at the end it was another story

With regards to shaitaan, the point is ranveer had to audition and he has been rejected, people think he has had it as easy as starkids who dont have to audition and can just get a movie with their name, i mean they went as far as to say ranveer had the power to take movies away from ssr. 

For bombay velvet, anurag was very keen on casting ranveer, he saw the talent ranveer had and there were articles ranveer had started prep for BV coz he thought he was going to get cast in it, but instead the producers said that if he casts ranveer they will not let him make the film. SLB took a chance on ranveer with a big budget film like ramleela, and it paid off, and what did BV prove at the end? That no matter who is casted in it if the film is crap it is never going to work, so it came back to bite them in the end and ranveer got saved from a disaster

Ranbir had already proved his acting by then. And Rajeev too. They wanted an ACTOR and they chose one. Simple.

Which Producers tho ? Fox or Vikas Bahl or Vikramaditya ? Who picked Ranbir.

not complaining lol, i'm glad ranveer didn't do BV, just posted what Anurag said, these are things that i am not making up, these are things producers and directors are saying themselves about ranveer

If Anurag was so keen, he could have found other producers willing to take the risk.. One can't blame anyone for being cautious on who they bet their money on 

the producers had full right to play it safe and cast a bankable star for their movie.. How does this prove anything about the system being against Ranveer? matlab kuch bhi

He had it easier than outsiders.. The fact that you have to try so hard to prove that he didn't is actually quite funny😆

So ranveer didn't prove his acting? with films like BBB, Lootera and ramleela i think he proved he is a good actor, which is why a director like anurag wanted him in the film

i'm not trying hard, all of these producers and directors are saying themselves what ranveer had to go through, i am just simply posting it here. Anurag described it as Ranveer's struggle, you are free to believe him or not
