The treatment of first episode was kinda very film-like, it reminded like the bollywood stuff
of the 70s-90s. Zahid Ahmed shown doing wrestling on the main road, which is
technically impossible in Karachi and can't happen on an open area with
ppl around them doing gambling. Probably the makers were trying to
establish Zahid Ahmed as type of Amitabh Bachchan, brave fearless king
of the streets , whatever. Haider's sister and future bro in law
exchanging glances, and then Haider giving the money he earned to the
single mother so that her child's fees can be paid LOL really FILMY.

The editing was quite good actually they showed a fist fight, fashion show,
Haider's cousin watching it on tv and politician interview viewed by
her mother, together which helped in identifying the characters &
their relationships w/ each other. Helped viewer understand and the
scenes were to-the-point and not a drag in any form. Editing was superb.
Dialogues were also great. Interaction between Zahid and his taya
Mehmood Akhtar shared gresat sense of humor. Being the first episode and
as so many characters were being established, there was no interaction
between the leads. Saba is a model who is neglected by both her parents
and Zahid plays an idealist, brave guy who wishes to start a political
party. And we all know how'll that end he'll be pushed to become a goon
to join a mainstream political party, which Saba's father is heading.
All in all a good start with some similarities [in premise] to the real
life Pakistani supermodel Aminah Haq daughter of Tehmina Durrani
[author, my feudal lord] and Ghulam Mustafa Khar [PPP Governor Of Punjab
in 70s]. whose stepdad is CM Shehbaz Sharif [married to Durrani]. It
was in 2008 Shehbaz Sharif became CM and since then Aminah Haq has
disappeared from fashion scene altogether.

i dont watch the ost first since i dont have access to them while watching tv. most youtube videos dont start with them but after few episodes i go look for ost . it does make or break little bit of expectations. i still watch the show unless proves otherwise. Human nature ... we judge book by its cover and person by his clothes...😳 shouldnt but do...

It was WAY MORE MODERN THAN 70-90 Bollywood

And more realistic too

Even though I love it when pak dramas r compared with straight Bollywood

100% AGREE WITH THE EDITING QUOTIENT

The way the characters were linked and introduced

It gave us a very good basic idea of all characters basic persona

I loved the dialogues too ...

The supporting cast is also good and did their part well

Faisal Rahman and atiqa odho ...got to see them after so long and it was a treat

ZAHID was amazing...he just owned haidar in the very first episode ...plus he looked so dashing in the street fight scene
Also later with the black jacket...issshhh...my hero is going places man

SABA QAMAR...I M JUST SO HAPPY SHE GOT THIS KICKASS role...her last too shows was emotionally very challenging and sad ...sangat and digest writer ...but here she is JUST BINDAAS yet it's DIFFERENT FROM MEHWISH ROLE IN DILLAGI...I loved how the character of a model is not being generalised by showing a spoilt brat
She is shown to be caring n respectful towards her mom n even housemaids n subordinates at work n yet a strong personality at work
HER CHARACTIZATION IS EXACTLY HOW I WANTED SOME WRITER TO SHOW ON SCREEN...that being part of showbiz doesn't mean u r character less or a flirt s**t or a druggy
And Saba is looking a zillion bucks here n loved her attitude by which she just sealed her character in our heart's
