Whatever change that will come in Farah now after living in the haveli for 3 months is the actual point of the story so why this completely un justified episode of kidnapping in between? Admit it or not, this is that centuries old idea of romance & mardangi which we've seen and read in old movies & literature. People who don't know any better love such altercations between 'larka larki' & it's supposed to be...well whatever the crap they think it is. If Wali had offered her the contract in Lahore & she had agreed to come with him of her own will (like she did in the episode) there was still a LOT of opportunities to show the 'larka larki ki nok jhonk' that people so love to see. You could show them fighting,taunting each other all the way to the haveli to satisfy people's liking for such scenes. The whole kidnapping shit was just uncalled for & the dialogues during it just ruined Wali's character even more. Sorry, I couldn't stay quiet & censor myself any longer,like I did last week."

So someone posted this on Osman's Facebook. As much as I enjoyed every bit of the kidnapping fiasco, I DO absolutely think that it could have been avoided. It was filmy and defo an exaggeration. Although I don't agree with the first part of the post above, there's still a point out there.. we could have got nok jhok even without kidnapping fuss. All jokes on 'saat khoon maaf' aside, there's no doubt that Wali manhandling Faraah is unjustified. It's NOT justified but it makes sense if we think about the entire situation Wali was in. Here's something I read in the comments' section of dramapakistani's review:

"Wali is undoubtedly very stressed. he has seen his wife (whom he loves, by the way) become the mangetar of her other cousin, and he has been putting up with a girl who does nothing but yell 'divorce' in his face when she sees him (and he comes from a family where even the word divorce is taboo, like "allah ka arsh hil jata hai is lafz pe", etc, and for a woman to ask her husband for divorce is considered to be a blow to the man's ghairat, izzat and pride), he is managing a business all on his own, and managing a business makes men thrice his age irritable and cranky, and he's a twenty something young guy who should be chilling out with friends between classes at uni, and now the same girl has given his granddad a heartattack, has brought the SINGLE ONLY person that WALI can depend on (let's not forget that zarmeene and arjumand depend on Wali, he has no one he can show his weakness in front of) to death's door, has reduced Wali's agha jaan (who he's seen throughout his life as a strong and egoistic person, I don't doubt that the first time wali saw agha jaan crying was at his dad's death) to BEGGING that beta me aise nahi marna chahta k tum mujh se khafa ho. He has a lot on his mind, so he has undoubtedly lost his cool, and the way he shows this is by throwing faara around. it does not JUSTIFY the violence, but it explains a lot, dontcha think?"

I'm so damn confused about all this myself. A part of me enjoyed the episode and the other part of me really thinks it could have been avoided. As I said before, the least they could do was avoid some really offensive dialogues or parts like where Wali dragged Faraah to the boat and the room. Because hell the girl came with you all the way to the resort and she would defo sit in the boat herself, so there's no need to be so violent anymore. But khair! I won't over-alanyse this and confuse myself further. Taking the serial lightly, I'll go with enjoying everything that comes our way. But Allah karey we soon get see Wali's conscience nudging him about his actions because I can't see him being shown in bad light to viewers. #WaliKiOfficialWaqeel
