Its sad tht noone understood jalal's real motive behind evrything. For sum he is cruel, for sum he is doing evrything for his image, for sum salim is the bonded labor nd for others he is not logical. But the truth is things r most difficult for him. Yes he was cruel nd did the worst in chittor war but he doesn't want the same with salim. The point was never about hitting tht boy the point is leaving tht boy injured. There r many reasons for this punishment. 1st to make salim strong, 2nd he doesn't want any repetition of chittor war in future nd lastly to give him the lesson of life tht whtever maybe the situation u cant leave sumone in a dying state bcoz just like ur important for ur family tht other person is also important for their family.

Yes, Shreya, his "punishment" was beautiful that way. Salim would soon grow to be the King, and the King was considered as God on earth in those days, and was above law, Jalaal didn't want his son to abuse his power, that was the point of this punishment, as well as the Daku avtaar. 👏
