veera - "Bhai you're dead" she said handing him the phone and putting it on speaker.
Listening to Jeevika's loud and scared tone made Viren realize what an idiot he was. He forgot to end the call when he saw Veera hiding in the bathroom and now his wife had hear everything. He sure was dead now!
viren - "Hello"
j - "Viren are you okay? What happened? How are you feeling?"
viren - "Jeevika relax, I'm fine. Just have a small headache but nothing extraordinary"
j - "How did this happen even? And why didn't anyone tell me? Really Viren the first day I go away and you're already hiding stuff from me"
viren - "Jeevika I was going to call you as soon as i got home. I just woke up"
j - "Okay let me call you back in ten minutes" she said hanging
Viren handed the phone to Veera giving her a glare.
v - "Thanks for getting me into trouble"
vr - "Bhai please I was trying to save you, you forgot to hang up the call so not my fault"
v - "Whatever, now let me call Virat and Manvi and tell them you're here"
vr - "Okay"
While Viren called Virat and told him about Veera, as doctor walked inside. Viren put his phone down.
dr - "Hi Viren, your Jeevika's husband right?"'
v - "Yeah I am"
dr - "How are you feeling?" he said picking up Viren's charts from the side
v - "Just a little bit of a headache"
dr - "We will prescribe you some stronger pills. Your scans look fine, so theres nothing to be concerned about"
v - "Oh wait you weren't the doctor who was treating me when I came?"
dr - "No actually Jeevika just called and asked me to check on your charts"
Viren wanted to shake his head in disbelief while Veera was smiling cutely from the side. He understood why she ended the phone call now.
dr - "Heres my number, if you have any concerns dont hesitate in calling me. I'll go and call Jeevika now and let her know you're okay"
v - "Thanks, sorry about my wife, she's a bit crazy"
dr - "Don't worry, I understand her feelings"v - "Thank you" he said smiling
As the doctor left, Virat came with Manvi and Vanshika.
virat - "Veera what are you doing here?"
veera - "Was here to meet bhai" she said smiling and hugging onto Viren
vanshika - "Oh so someone finally let go of their anger, thank god for that"
viren - "Yeah but now Jeevika knows?"
virat - "What? How?"
viren - "Long story"
Viren closed his eyes for a minute feeling a little restless. Virat understood he was still not feeling well so he took everyone out while Viren rested a bit. When he woke up after a few hours he found out he was ready to be discharged. With a heavy head, he finally headed home. All he wanted now was the bed so he could sleep, but something else also which he knew he couldn't have, and that was Jeevika. He didn't need anyone to take care of him, but he just simply missed her. He kept his emotions to himself and headed home with Virat. As Viren got home he wanted to just go sleep and pass out forgetting todays day. The day was bad enough with Jeevika leaving, and then the stupid car accident. As Viren went upstairs to his room, he quickly changed from his office attire to his sweats and sweatshirt. He got under the blankets and wanted to sleep until Vanshika came in with some soup for him. He tried pretending to be asleep, but Vanshika knew he hadn't eaten all day. Viren finally gave in and was sitting up when he heard the front door open and banged close real hard. He pondered on what that noise what and heard someone coming upstairs. There at the door of the bedroom stood Jeevika who seemed not only exhausted, but so worried as well.
viren - "Jeevika, what in the world are you doing here?" he said getting up before Jeevika walked towards him.
j - "Just shut up and have your food" she said sitting down across Viren while Vanshika got up
Vanshika decided to leave the two alone and gave Jeevika the bowl of soup. She took it and fed Viren sip by sip. After a while Jeevika calmed down just being glad she was sitting next to her husband right now.
v - "I can't believe you're here. Jeevika you're seriously crazy"
j - "I was dying by the second being there far from you and then hearing this, you really think I would not come?"
v - "The smart thing to do would be to not come you know"
j - "So if I got into a a horrible accident you wouldn't come fly to me no matter what? I know your answer so think before you speak. Don't expect me to sit there just being calm. Just because we live in two different cities doesn't make you a single unmarried man anymore"
Viren was loving and hating this lecture from his wife at the same time 😛 He loved her truly, and was glad in a way he got into an accident just so he could meet his wife. After a while Viren was full so he took the plate from her and put it on the side table. He made Jeevika come inside the bed and then lay down in her lap making her keep her hand on his eyes letting him sleep peacefully.
