Lux are voting based too now. I remember the likes of Savera, Faisal, Fahad, Aamina having those fan sessions where they requested voters to vote for them last year.
I have a problem with these voting systems and I may be the only one but it really is mind boggling. I love Faisal Qureshi but I don't see how his performance from Roag was voted more than Fahad's from Main Abdul Qadir Hoon. Faisal Qureshi is loved by many and I am one of them..but here in terms of performance I feel Main Abdul Qadir was just the more popular show and yet Fahad didn't win. Popular choice doesn't even seem like popular choice anymore.
How is Savera a popular choice at Lux all the time? Whenever there's Savera, Sania or Bushra..make it clear no one else is going to win in that category regardless of anything else. So, Sanam Baloch's Dastaan wasn't worthy of being voted for yet Bushra's Dolly series was? How do you even have a VOTING system with such competitive nominees. People need to come up with a jury/critics award if they ever want anyone deserving winning.
Also, as long as Noman Ejaz is around..forget any actor winning. I can bet everything..even if Fawad was nominated in popular choice, Noman would've still won. The guy always wins..he has countless LSAs too.
Saba Qamar always, always, always gets acknowledged at PTV awards. She has like 3 consecutive wins with the most recent being last year.. Similarly, Sami Khan/Ahsan Khan get awards on PTV. And who the hell even cares about Sami Khan on satellite shows? It's sad actually. Those are based off of a jury/critics and they actually make the most deserving win..unlike these popular choice where we're supposedly relying on the people's dumb opinions.
