PROLOGUE:
'Come, come here darling and fly with me to my world, my world full of miseries.'
"Um..well, this is my... I mean your new home. Do come inside. "
She hesitated before walking inside. It was dark outside a ,perfect moonless night. Today her new life was going to begin. A life which was just like the weather that day, unknown and mysterious.
"I'm sorry...It's not that clean.I.."
"It's okay." She said in a small voice. He just nodded.
"Um..I'm keeping the suitcases upstairs in the bedroom, I have to leave for some urgent work...If you need me, just call me." She didn't look up or reply. She just nodded her head.
She went upstairs and looked at herself. Her red lehenga was shining in the moonlight, her creamy skin was glowing. Her red lips parted as she drank water. Her hands were full of multicolored bangles, her feet were adorned with exquisite payals but it was the sindoor that made her look even more beautiful.
She just closed the lamp and went to sleep.
The rays of the sun touched her sleepy face. She quickly got up and got dressed, she wore a pink saree. She ran downstairs to receive the letter from the postman. It was addressed to her.
Khushi Singh Raizada.
She opened it and found her wedding pictures which her parents had sent her. She kept them aside and started preparing the breakfast. She prepared some sweet dish as well as it was a custom every new bride must fulfil. She didn't know what he liked so she prepared some kheer.
She started cleaning the house. The house was very small located in the lonely streets of Shaam nagar. Very few people lived there. The house was a two bedroom house. It wasn't very spacious and was claustrophobic, it was full of webs and dust yet there was something very homey and beautiful about it. She didn't have any mother in law or any family except her husband here. Her husband, whose whereabouts she had no idea about.
"Um. Hey. I'm really sorry about last night, there was some urgent work." He said as he closed the door behind him.
"It's okay, I prepared some breakfast... would you like to have some?"
"Oh, Ya.Sure. I'll just go and freshen up." He smiled.
He came downstairs wearing a blue navy shirt with black pants. A tie and carrying a suitcase.
"It's really tasty, thanks" She smiled at him.
"Do you want me to pack your lunch ? "
"Ya, that would be good."
She packed his lunch and gave it to him.
"Khushi don't go out of the house without telling me. And don't open the door for unknown people"
"Why ?"
"The outside world is a dangerous place Khushi." His eyes were dark as he said this, scaring her.
"And this is a quiet place, hence inviting robbers and thieves" She relaxed but felt that those chocolate brown eyes were hiding something from her.Thousands of secrets.
"Good bye, I'll see you later."
"Good bye Arnavji."
Arnav got outside and opened his suitcase. He took out his gun.He put the gun in his pocket and then stormed off.
