CHAPTER 4 - Pain.
'Oh this world and the pain it gives,come trust me once and see the blessings which I have, to offer.'
"Arnav, I think you should go back home now. It's been so many days since you've been working overtime." Aman said while patting his shoulder.
"I don't want to Aman." He looked at his best friend, shamefaced.
"What happened ?"
"I don't know Aman how it happened but I kissed Khushi."
"YOU DID WHAT!" Aman shrieked.
"I know.I know.I'm so horrible" hearing this Aman started laughing.
"What the ? why are you laughing ?" Arnav asked confused.
"Arnav, she's your wife. You don't have to feel embarrassed if you kissed her,for heaven's sake!" He said, trying to control his laughter.
"I don't love her Aman,you know that." He said truthfully.
Aman stopped laughing, he knew what he was going through, Aman was the only one in the whole gang who knew about his and Khushi's marriage. He was himself married but unlike his friend he was in love.
"Relax brother, I'm sure with time things will be better." saying this he hugged Arnav.

Khushi heard very clearly when the main door opened. She knew it was him. As usual he didn't look at her or speak to her. This had become his daily routine since that day.He came home, ate and slept. He didn't speak to her. He would give her money if she needed it and just nod his head when she tried to talk to him.
Khushi tired of his this attitude herself had stopped making efforts, she placed his dinner on the table and started to leave.
"Ouch !" she hissed in pain.
He got up and saw her holding her foot in pain. Instantaneously, his hand reached for her foot but he was stopped by her.
"No need, thanks."
He nodded his head and sat down at the dining table. Khushi couldn't believe it. She ran upstairs, tears adorning her eyes.
He came inside the room after some time, changed and got ready to sleep.
"Um. Khushi ?" She looked at him.
"I think you should go visit your parents for a few days."
"You... you want me to go ?"
" For a few days. I need time to organize my thoughts."
"Okay, If.. if that's what you want." he nodded his head, unaware that he just broke her heart into a million pieces.

Arnav dropped Khushi off to the station and sharp at 7 in the evening, the train left taking his wife with it.
Arnav went to his work. He was working on a new case. He didn't know why he sent Khushi away, he didn't know why he was behaving like this, he felt vulnerable for the first time in his life.
He was writing in a file when suddenly he felt someone behind him, hugging him.
"Arnav" he turned around and saw her.
" Sheetal, what are you doing here ?"
"I came to meet you, it's been so long since you and I went out."
"I don't want to Sheetal, I'm too messed up right now."
"Oh, com'on you'll feel nice, let's go."
He was about to refuse but his boss gave him a glare. Having no options, he nodded a yes.
Sheetal took Arnav to dinner. He knew what would come next.She pushed him towards the wall and started opening the buttons of his shirt while kissing him frantically.He was about to give in but then suddenly Khushi's face flashed in front of his eyes. He pushed her away from him. While she looked at him with disbelief in her eyes.
"I.. I can't Sheetal, I'm sorry, I have to go." he quickly left, leaving her all alone feeling betrayed.
Arnav came outside and it had started raining heavily, he started running in the rain. He wanted to go away.
"She had a miscarriage."
"I can't love you ever, I'm so sorry."
"Damn it Arnav, get up, kill her.One bullet, one shot."
"She loves you."
"Your gun is your best friend and enemy."
"I want you to get married Arnav."
"AAAH ! " he shouted as memories filled his mind, as his past once again came to haunt him. He screamed, he shouted, he cried, there wasn't anyone to hear, anyone to support him, anyone to love him.
He came outside the Khurana premises. His eyes were red, fury was all one could see in them. His mind was filled with rage, everything had blinded his senses.
He quickly kept his gun inside his pocket and Jumped past the fence, throwing the bodies of the two gate guards outside.
