"One more shot", he thought, as he smashed the ball towards the wall with his squash racquet...As the ball bounced off the wall someone caught it in his hands..."caught ya..."he hard that mocking voice say , which made his blood boil with rage...he grabbed his towel from the nearby rack and wiping his sweat he turned around to face that person of his loathe...
"Looks like someone did not like the interference..." the person continued to mock him... "But, Where is the challenge in playing alone...lets have a game...what say.."
"Sure lets have a game ...i never back out from any challenge..you know that..." he smirked at him..
He gripped his racquet firmly, clenched his jaw and positioned himself...
"This is what I like about you brother...you never disappoint me...always ready for a fight..." chuckled his opponent, as he also positioned himself... "Lets have a set of three..."
He nodded at his opponent and they started the game...
"2-1"..."I win..." he smirked , wiping the sweat from his brow with his fingers... He came towards his opponent and slapped on his shoulder saying..." As I always tell you big brother...its not easy to make Randhir Singh Shekhawat to lose..."
"Seriously...you really are delusional...i let you win this time little brother...you think I care about these silly little games...there are much bigger ones waiting...and I would love to see you lose them...I am Rehan Sharma...and I am meant for bigger things.." he laughed
"Bigger games?"..." What do you mean exactly?" ...Randhir asked, he knew Rehan had not just slipped out words like "big games" on a whim...he definitely meant something...it pricked his curiosity...
"Oh I see...I have caught the interest of my little brother..." smirked Rehan ..." Ok , I will not keep you in suspense anymore... " As you know dad is working on this new project...the project which can actually turn around not only the future of our company...but might also bring about a revolution in the world of car manufacturing..." ..he paused a bit gauging Randhir's reaction... "So dad might just require someone to help him in this project...and as I have heard he is looking for someone who might just fit the bill..." He continued
"So you think we might contend for that post..." Randhir completed Rehan's sentence... "cool...so are you actually challenging me to that post?" mocked Randhir...
"Actually yeah...I am...my first thought was not to let you know about this news at all...then I thought whats the use...you will get to know sooner or later...and then off course where is the novelty in winning when there is no competition...even if its from a weaker opponent..." replied Rehan
"we will just see who is the weaker one..." retorted Randhir
"Sure brother...may the best man win..." Rehan smirked and left the court leaving Randhir to his thoughts...
Randhir threw away his racquet with a bang on the floor, he felt a nerve throbbing in his head with anger...he sat down on an bench and sighed...taking his bottle and sipping water he closed his eyes, trying to cool down his temper...Rehan always managed to rub him the wrong way...he always seemed to bring out the worst in Randhir...Rehan Sharma , the son of Rohit Sharma, co-owner of Sharma & Sanyal Autombiles, his step-brother...there was no love lost between the two step brothers...the moment they had set eyes on each other, 10 years back , they had both known that they can have only one relationship, that of hatred and dislike...but in all these years they have developed a weird bond...they still hated each other, disliked each other, but still looked out for each other, had each other's backs when in trouble...they turned their dislike into competition...each challenged the other in some way or the other always...and trying to outwit each other gave both of them a high, a sense of satisfaction...in a very twisted way they were similar---arrogant, ruthless and brilliant...sometimes he wondered whether their brotherhood of hatred was stronger than that of any blood relation...his father, Harsh Shekhawat, may not have left him with anything when he had destroyed himself drowning in alcohol but sure has left him with a name which commanded superiority and respect ...there was a time when the Shekhawats name was taken with outmost respect by people, for they supposedly boasted of royal lineage, luxurious way of life, grandeur...their family also used to be one of the biggest industrialists of the country..but then his father's wayward ways, addiction of alcohol ruined everything...it was his mom Renuka Sanyal, who single handed salvaged whatever respect was left of the family...she had set up her own business ,which turned their fate...when his dad died, Randhir was not sad, he did not cry, for he never had any fond memories with his father...he was just an entity for Randhir, a recluse, whose only love in his life was his bottle of scotch...it was his mother's second marriage to her co partner in business, that made Randhir realise that he missed his dad...he was all of ten years then and he felt someone else has come to interfere in their already imperfect life...that day he had felt like he lost his mother too...he did not hate his mother , he just felt very indifferent towards her...that day he had decided come what may he will never part with his name Shekhawat ...The name Randhir Singh Shekhawat stuck with him ever since, it defined who he was ...he had inherited his arrogance from his father, his brilliance from his mother...with his mother's marriage he had lost his mother but got a brother instead...Rehan Sharma, he was just a year older than him...but just like him , he had seen hatred in his eyes towards him too...yet they struck up a friendship , a bond of hatred, which intensified with years , as they passed from the same school, and then got into the same college...one of the best institution in India, FITE, which boasted of turning out some of the best engineers ...
Tomorrow is the day when their mid-term break will be over and they will return to their college...Randhir looked forward going to FITE, he loved to be surrounded by machines, he loved the tasks, the competition and the challenges ...he did not have much friends in college, it was probably his arrogance and ruthless attitude, that made people hesitate to befriend him...he knew he was popularly known as the one of the "bad brothers"...yeah!, Randhir and Rehan seemed to have successfully earned a name from their college...
Tomorrow is still far away, decided Randhir...before that he had other pressing matters to think about...for example, a way to make sure he gets the vied position in his step-dad's pet project...

Ok everyone...umm...lol...i am starting another FF...third one😲...i am seriously shocked as there are two ongoing FF's already😕...anyway lol...i absolutely love the intensity between the brothers, Randhir and Rehan...and hence this FF😆...yep this FF will be a dark one...but umm not a depressing one though😆...i don't like depressing stuffs😆
