Chapter 4

Rehan walked through the corridor determinedly, he smirked thinking about the way of putting his plan in action...as he passed the lab , he saw Sanyukta working inside, or rather struggling with a machine...he watched feeling amused as Sanyukta continued to fight with the machine... He admired the determination and dedication that Sanyukta has towards her work...as he saw her sighing in frustration, he decided to help her out...May be helping her out can also help him in his plan of winning over Sanyukta ...

He cleared his throat and said "Banging on it wont help..."

Sanyukta looked up startled...looking surprised that Rehan Sharma...THE Rehan Sharma , standing infront of her...giving her advise...

Feeling awkward, she said..."err..umm...i cant seem to find the solution to fix it...i have tried every method possible...nothing is working..."...the frustration was evident in her voice...

"Lets see, if we can find a solution..." said Rehan, smiling at her...he moved forward and stood near Sanyukta...he bent over the machine examining it...

Sanyukta looked at him, as he continued to examine it...she felt confused, as far as she knew Rehan...he was a snob, and arrogant...never a person to come forward to help out his juniors, but yes , definitely someone who will show off his skills...well, she will not lie, he was cute and his charming smile can make any girl go weak in their knees...like any other girl in the college, even she had a tiny bit of crush on him...surprisingly enough in her almost two years in college she has not seen him going around with any girl...though she has heard of him having many girlfriends...may be those are all rumours...but she did wonder how come someone as intelligent, genius, good looking, smart as him remain single despite having girls throwing themselves at him...is he not interested in girls?...maybe he is gay, or may be no girl is good enough for him...whats interesting at present is that he has actually taken interest in coming forward and help her out...Sanyukta could not believe that she was lucky enough to see Rehan the genius work so closely...

"Look...its all done...I will show you..." ...Rehan's voice broke into her thoughts...she saw that Rehan has already fixed the machine... "Hey ...you fine?" ...said Rehan, noticing Sanyukta's far-away look..

"Yeah..." said Sanyukta composing herself... "umm...was wondering how you fixed it..."

"Here...look at this..." Rehan , then explained everything perfectly to Sanyukta...Sanyukta felt it was the best lecture she has attended, there was no doubt that indeed he was a genius...her admiration for him increased a little more...

"Thanks...I would not have been able to complete the project if you would have not helped out.." she said shyly , as Rehan finished his explanation...

Rehan smiled at her and said..."well it was a difficult project... for your year at least...its good to see that you have taken this up for your assignment...i like your guts Sanyukta..."

"Huh...y..you...know my name?" Sanyukta stammered...shocked that Rehan actually knew her by name...well she never had a very high opinion about herself, and to think the Genius boy of the college even bothering to know her name was quite intimidating ...

"Yeah, off course...you are in the same batch as my brother Randhir..." He said smiling

"Oh...yeahh...off course..." Sanyukta said...she had totally forgotten Randhir was his brother...she should have expected Randhir complaining to his big brother, about the "irritating girl who bothers him always"...

"So ...umm...Randhir must have complained about me to you..." Sanyukta said...fidgeting with some loose wires of the machine, and looking away from Rehan...

"Actually no...and why would he complain about you?...something wrong between you two?" Rehan said smiling..

"Nothing...its just we never seem to get along with each other..." said Sanyukta sighing...

"my brother is a bit difficult to understand...but he is not all bad..." said Rehan...

"Yeahh...I am getting to know that..." replied Sanyukta...

"Well, I need to go now...class will start in 15 mins...see you around.." Said Rehan extending his hand towards Sanyukta for a hand shake...

"See you around..." replied back Sanyukta as she shook his hand...

Rehan walked towards the door to leave...but suddenly stopped in his tracks as a thought struck to his mind , he turned back...he saw Sanyukta still staring at his way...he walked back towards to her and said " If you need any help in any of your projects or subjects you can always ask me..." he smirked at her..

"T...thank you..." said Sanyukta fumbling over her words...flabbergasted at Rehan's offer...

"So do you need help? " asked Rehan urging her to reply...

"Hmm...I ...actually I do...umm...but I don't really want to bother you..." Sanyukta said nervously..

"Hey don't feel shy...ok ...look I will give you tuitions if its alright for you...in any case our professors keep on saying to help out the juniors...I might as well do my part...lets fix this...Saturdays ...you come to me with all your doubts...i will help you out...is it alright?" Rehan said

"Uh..huh...Saturdays will be fine...evening right?...classes will be there in the afternoon..." Sanyukta replied giving him a small smile...

"Sure ...ok...see you later then...tomorrow to be precise...its Saturday ..." smiled Rehan and winked at her before leaving the place for the final time...

Sanyukta blinked twice , trying to comprehend what just happened...his wink at her, took her breath away for a moment...he really knew how to turn on his charm...his electric grey eyes had the power to hypnotise anyone...

I know this was a very small chapter...but i am already writing the next chapter...so I should be able to post it this week only 😳...and i know there was no Randhir in this part...but he will be there in the next part...please leave your comments 😳
