Chapter 10

Rajat got up from the bed... the dream had felt real. He couldn’t concentrate on any thing, he felt scared for the first time in his life. He picked up his mobile and dialed Paridhi’s no. But got no answer. He looked at the clock it was 11:30 pm. He called the reception for a hired car. Then he went down to the lobby. “Has the car arrived?” he asked the receptionist “ Sir please wait for 10 mins.” He paced up and down the lobby. It felt like ages before the car arrived. He snatched the keys from the receptionist and ran to the car drove to Paridhi’s hotel.

At the hotel he ran to the receptionist “ which room is miss Ganguly staying in?” he asked “She is in room 304.” She answered. He ran to the lift and pressed 3rd floor getting into it. When the lift arrived at the third floor he ran to room no 304 and rang the bell. He rang it again and again.

Paridhi was sleeping suddenly heard the bell and got up drowsy. As soon as she opend the door Rajat pushed her in and closed the door. “ Rajat!! What are you doing here?” she asked. He turned around... she saw anger and concern in his eyes, she touched his cheeks. “What’s the matter Rajat? Why do you look so worried?” she asked. He didn’t answer just pulled her to him and hugged her tight. “ Thank God ! You are fine.” Then he pushed her hard towards the wall and roughly captured her lips in a kiss. All the desperation, love and anger flowed into the kiss. He deepened the kiss. Paridhi moaned. They came up for breath. “ Look my wife or not. You are not staying so far away from me get it. I'll die of worry. You and Dr Bashak will shift to my hotel tommrow. I'll tell my dad to make arrangements for two more rooms. You can’t stay here.” He said “ But why? “ she asked her. “ tommrow the skull will be out, when without the skull he is trying to separate us. He might do something evil tommrow. I have had a dream that’s why I came running.” Suddenly Rajat’s eyes fell on Paridhi’s atire, she was wearing a thin night gown. Her body was visible through the metirial. Rajat held her hips and twirled her around , now his back was to the wall an Paridhi on him. “ Good thing I came. I would have missed this delightful sight.” He said with a passionate look in his eyes “ huh Rajat.” She was startled she moved out of his arms and faced away. Rajat smirked and slowly he went up to her and held her from behind. Moved her hair aside and kissed her shoulder. “ oooh” she moaned. “ tell me you dont think that we belong together.” He asked “Bolo kya sirf kuch kagaz ke hone se hi hum ek ho sakte hai.” He asked again nibbling her earlobe. “ keh dijiye ke aapko nahi lagta ki humari rooh kab se ek hochuki hai aur use alag karna na mumkin.”he kissed her shoulder again. Paridhi couldn’t take it anymore she turned around and their eyes met. She could see the fire of passion and love in his eyes, she wanted to melt in his arms. She was breathing fast and so was he. “ Jodha” he said caressing her cheeks. “ yeh kaisa ehssas hai Sahanshah yeh kya hai ke hum aapse aur aap humse ek pal bhi dur nahi rehpate.” Paridhi asked. Rajat captured her lips in a kiss again and pushed her towards the bed. He sat on the bed and pulled her along. She lay down in front of him. He caressed her cheeks “ Aap ko ilm bhi nahi hai ke hum aapse kitni mohabbat kartin hain. Jis din aap humein chodke chaligayi thi hum bhi zinda lash ban gaye the. Woh to bas apne awam me liye Sahensha zinda the, aur Salim ke liye abbujaan. Jalal kahi mar gaya tha. Ek ek sans bojh lagi thi. Zindgi ek lambi intezaar thi mauth ki. Ki kab hum aapse phirse rubaru honge. Aur jab aap humare paas hai hum aapse dur kaise rahen. Yeh duniya duniya zaalim hai. Do mohabbat karne Walon ko milne nahi deti. Aap kahiye is waqt aap humari baho me bikharna nahi chahti. Kahiye.” He asked passionately. Jodha was breathing hard. “ kahiye na” Rajat said coming closer. “ Sahanshah.” She said panting “ Jalal kahiye.” He said “ Jalal.....” she said opening her arms o him. He came into her arms. Then looked at her. “ you know what let us just get married.”Rajat said. “ we have to wait till the project is over jaan.” Paridhi said “call me jaan again.” He said smiling “jaan. I love you.” She ssaid. “ I love you too.”he said and kissed her forehead. “ let’s get some sleep.” They went to sleep in each others arms.

Next morning they sat in Dr Bashak’s room. They were waiting for Proff. Dixit to arrive. Paridhi sat next to Rajat hand in hand. Rajat was still very worried. After sometime Proff arrived. Dr Bashak opened the door. “ Good morning” Greeted Proff Dixit. He came in and saw Rajat and Paridhi sitting together. “ What yaar? You should have informed me before coming here. I was look for you everywhere.” Then he noticed that Rajat seemed worried. “ what is the matter?” He asked “ Look sir I dont think they should stay alone in this hotel. It is risky.” He said. “ Why Rajat I dont understand?” asked Proff. “ Today the skull will come out from below the lake. He is already trying to stop us . I think something evil will happen. I want them near me . What will happen if something ... no no way I have spoken to my dad.” Rajat says. “ Hmm what did you tell him?” asked Proff Dixit. “ nothing just that I’m getting married after the end of the project.” He said smiling and looking at Paridhi. Paridhi blushed as she smiled.

They were at the project site around 10 am in the morning. The divers had gone down to the bottom to check for the missing head. They were waiting for almost an hour now. Rajat looked at Paridhi she seemed nervous. Rajat hugged her by her shoulder. After about 10 more minutes the divers came out with the skull of the corpse and the turban which was falling apart due to age.

Paridhi hid her face in the crook of Rajat’s neck. “ You know what lets continue from the place we had stopped in the tale.” Said Proff Dixit trying to take Paridhi’s mind off the grotesque image in front of her. “ yes but I think you should instruct the men to keep the head away from the body just incase.” Suggested Rajat. Dr Bashak nodded.
