Chapter 5

“ Ab humein chalana chahiye. “ Said Dr Bashak. “ 6:00 pm baj chuke hai.”

Paridhi looked at Rajat . He was still holding her hand, his finger was caressing the skin above her palm. Just like he used to ages ago. Rajat looked at her. He could see that she didn’t want to go. He addressed “ Mam if you dont mind I’ll drop her at your hotel. Can she stay I just want to talk to her.” He said. Dr Bashak looked uncomfortable “ Frankly speaking Mr kapoor we have just met today. How can I let her stay with you.” She said. “ Don’t worry mam I can vouch for him, he is not only my best student but also a very decent guy. Let the young ones be and us oldies move ahead.” Proff Dixit stated. They got up and left.

After they left Rajat looked at Paridhi. He could see his Jodha sitting in front of him. Nothing much had changed. Just her hair style and clothes. “ kya bulau aapko Jodha ya Paridhi. Ya phir heer.” He held her hand over the table. Paridhi looked at him tears were glistening in her eyes. “ Hum aaj bhi aapke ankho mein aansu nahi dekh sakte.” He said. “ aiysa lagta hai jaise saadiyon se aapke intezaar kar rahe hai.” He said. “ Aapko sab yaad hai.”she asked. “ Sab nahi par dheere dheere yaad aa raha hai . Itna to yaad hai ke tum meri Jodha ho.” He said. “ Aankhe taras gayi thi Tumhe dekhne ke liye.” He said picking up her hand and kissing it. “ Hum bhi to aap hi ka intezaar kar rahe the.”she said. “ chalo yaha se chalte hai.” He said they got up and left from there hand in hand. Rajat hailed a cab they went to the Jawahar circle garden to see the nightly fountain show they had heard of. In the cab Rajat held her close and she lent her head on his shoulder just like old times. She felt like she was home. She closed her eyes. “ What is this feeling Rajat. Do you think anyone will believe us. We have just met but it feels like I know you for ever. It is amazing what is happening to us.” She said cuddling deeper into him.

They had spent a lot of together it was almost 8:00 clock when he left her at her hotel. Rajat told the cab to wait and walked her to the lobby. They lingered at the gate holding each others hand. Rajat touched her cheeks. “ See you tommrow goodnight.”he said. He didn’t want to let her go. But it was late. So he let her go. She walked a few steps and looked back. She wanted to run to his arms. But not yet. There were still lot of answered to be searched for. So she went up. Rajat waited till she boarded the lift then turned back and went to the cab.

Rajat reached his hotel and to his room. He changed his clothes and tried to sleep. Agle din Prof Dixit aur Rajat reached the fort arround 9:00 . Rajat was in hira bai's room restoring the painting of Akbar which Mr Shighania had handed to him he could make out the resemblance with his face. Everyone was in for a surprise. He smiled. After some time Proff Dixit came to the chamber and looked over Rajat's shoulder. What he saw shocked him? Same face as the person restoring it. “ yeh ho kya raha hai? “ he asked. Rajat didn’t answer he just smiled. Same sharp features dark mysterious eyes same lips only difference being the moustache above his lips and his shoulder length hair. “ Rajat muskurana band karo aur bataovyeh kya hai?” he asked “ who is this?” “ This is the painting of the greatest Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar.” Rajat answered “ And why does he look like you?”Proff Dixit asked “ What do you think?” Rajat asked , just then a labourer arrived he addressed Rajat, “ sahabji chaliye !” he looked scared Rajat understood something was wrong “ kya hua.” He asked looking at the direction of the forest. “ akbar khul gaya hai aur, Paridhi madam bahut pashan hai woh...” he said Rajat did not wait to hear the rest he ran down and directly to the jeep. Proff. Dixit followed. By now he had partly figured out what was going on. He saw that Rajat was agitated. He patted his back “ don’t worry we will reach there soon. In about Twenty minutes they were at the site.Rajat jumped down almost before the jeep stopped. He saw that Paridhi was sitting by the lake fear written all over her face. As soon as she heard the sound of the jeep she looked their way. Seeing Rajat she ran to his arms crying “ yeh kya hai Paridhi you know I can’t see you in tears. Batau kya hua kiyun pareshan ho. Tum to meri Baghin ho na.” He said trying to lighten the mood. “ Its him .... I’m telling you he is back ...” she stammered “ Paridhi it is just a corpse... arre maine khud mara hai usse. Kiyun dar rahe ho.” Rajat held her hand and walked to the grave. He looked into it though he knew what he would see. There it was the head less corpse of Mirza Sarifuddin. Suddenly their was a weird chill in the air. Paridhi cowerd so did everyone else. “ Ha ha ha ha !” a bone chilling voice laughed. Everyone heard it. “ What was that ?” Asked Dr Bashak. “ I ddon’t don’t know” said Mr Shighania “ Shahenshahka iqbaal buland ho. Aap ka hum jaharnum mein istaqbal karte hai. 400 saal se Aaphi ka intezaar kar rahe hai hum." Paridhi hid her face in Rajat’s chest. “Arre Jodha begum ghabraiye mat aapko hum is baar aapne bana hi lenge.Ha ha ha.” The vvoice stopped. There was silence. “ What the hell is happening and why is the head missing?”asked Proff Dixit. “ It is missing because it was cut and thrown into the lake. “answered Rajat. “How the hell do you know all this?” asked Dr Bashak “ Because he did it.” Proffessor answered. “Am I right Rajat?” Rajat looked up and nodded. “ How is that even possible?”She asked surprised. “ In this world a lot of strange things happen this is one of them.” Answered Proff.Dixit

Chapter 6

“ You have to get some divers to go down and check, the skull should be there.” Said Rajat. He was still hugging Paridhi by her shoulder. He turned and led Paridhi away. At a little distance there was a fallen log he made her sit down. “ Are you Ok .Tum thik ho.” He asked she nodded. “ But he is back.” She said “ I told you I’m here nothing will happen.” Rajat reassured her. Proff.Dixit came to Where they were sitting. “ Look this mystery is getting deeper. Can you please tell us what is going on. There the painting you are restoring looks exactly like you. Heer kuwaris image looks like Paridhi. You guies have just met but seem to be behaving like you know each other for ever. What is going on.?”proff Dixt said. By this time the rest of them had also come to where they were sitting. “ Look we dont exactly remember everything, but as the journal is being red things are coming back to us. All the answers lay in that book.” So I thing we should continue some more.” Rajat said. Paridhi took the book out of her back pack and started reading.

Mere pass dil ka ehssas to tha nahi to mujhe yeh samajh nahi aya ki main kis kadar, Jodha ke pyar mein pard chuka hun. Mujhe lags ke main bas usse haasil karna chahte hun.” Rajat answered.

“ kaal vivah hai. Mera hriday pata nahi kiyun tezi se dhadkan raha hai. Kya hoga age jeevan mein yeh soch soch kar dar lag raha hai. Jab bhi unke bare mein sochti hun man tezzi se dhadk jatahai. Yeh kya hai kanha.”

“Aaj unke Hatton mein haat dete hue haat kanp gaye. Jab unke Haton mein haat diya to laga jayese hriday ke dhadkan tibrata se chalte lagi. Unhone mere haat ko dono haton se pakar liya.”

Phir unhone mere gallon ko dhire se chuwa. “ lekin hum zabardasti mein yakeen nahi rakhte. Jab aap apne marzi se humare paas ayengi tab hum aapko chuyenge.” Yeh kehkar chale gaye woh. Hum prasanna ho ya dukhi ho humein samaj mein nahi aaya.”

Umar mein humse kafi badi thi. “ Yeh hai Marium Makani Sahenshah ki maa.” Main ne age badkar unke pair chuye, unhone mera ghunghat uthaya aur kaha “ masha alla, Aap to bala ki khoobsoorat hai. Alla Kate aapko kisi ki nazar na lage.” Yeh keh ke unhone humare mathe ko chum liya. Mujhe lags mano meri aapni maa hai. “ yeh hai Bakshi bano aap ki nanad.” Unhone Aadab kiya .Yeha sab bahut ache hai mujhe samaj mein nahi aya main kya soch."

I like your story very much. unfortunately it's a bit hard to read for me 'cause I don't know hindi. GT sometimes says strange things 😆

but I think I understand the storyline. They find the diary of Jodha and Rajat and Paridhi recall their "past" as Jalal and Jodha, if Paridhi read it. They found the grave of Sharif ud din and Paridhi is in fear he's also present (voice and laughter). It's very exciting. I'm courious what happens further

Lekin sab apne aapko Shahenshah ki begum hi samajti hai. Par unki khaas begum aur sabse priya dost hai Rukaiya begum jo harem ki mukhtar hai. Yani harem unke dekhrekh mein chalta hai. Mujhe yeh sab dekhe bahut ghabrahat hui. Pata nahi says yeha itne logon ke beech meri astitwa kahi kho na jaye.

Ammi jaan ne mujhe bataya ki sham ko Utsab haiuske lite tayaar Rahna hai. Mai thori Dari hui thi ki kya hoga utsab mein. Mujhe Moti ne taiyar kiya aur hum utsab mein pahuche. Unke mukh par jo tej tha woh dekhne yogya tha.Aur talwar ko ayese hila rahe the mano unke badan ka hissa hai. Pata nahi kiyun unhe dekh ke mere pure badan mein bijli si kondh gayi hai.”

Paridhi blushed reading Jodha’s feelings she tried to look away from Rajat , “ Yaar she is so confused, it seems she cannot decide whether she loves him or hates him.”said Dr Bashak.

Mr Shighania looked at his watch “ it is almost lunch time let’s take a break.” Slowly everyone at the table started getting up. Rajat got up and pulled Paridhi along with him. And started to walk towards the pond where he knew there was a scheduled area away from the eyes of others. He pulled her along and pushed her towards a tree and trapped her between him and the tree. They looked at each other and were lost. Rajat slowly caressed her cheeks. “ Mujhe ek baar batau kya tum mujhe us waqt sach mein nafrat karti thi.”he asked. “ Na main kabhi Tumhe nafrat karti thi na hi kabi kar paaongi.” She said. Rajat touched her lips with his thumb Paridhi was breathing really heavily. “ R...Rajat , kya kar rahe ho.” She said blushing heavily. “ Pari I know it is fast but haveing you in front of me and not being able to touch you is killing me, I just cant take it any more.” Saying so Rajat captured her lips in his. The kiss started soft but soon deepend. It felt like they wanted to make up for their years apart. Rajat had encircled her hips now and was pulling her towards him. “ Aapse Juda hoke mano humari zindagi fir se ek veeran sa registhan ban gaya tha. Aaj aapko apni baho mein lekar maan us registhan mein gulab khil gaya ho.”Rajat said kissing her shoulder blade. Suddenly something shook and a weird force Threw Paridhi away from Rajat . They both heard the whisper “ kabhi nahi.... kabhi ek nahi honge".
