I am loving how you have used the original track and weaved a new story around it.

I loved how Maham anga is exposed.

It was the best part of the story.

The child will survive I think, it was a girl child that rukaiyya gave birth to in the original history. I hope that the baby will bring jalal and jodha close.

Chapter 9

Jalal paced outside Rukaiyya’s chamber as Mallika-E-Azam and Hakim Sahiba were inside with Rukaiyya. No news meant good news right. Maham Anga watches him pace but feels her own impatience rising. The one quality she regretted in herself. She wanted results fast yet now her patience was the only thing stopping her in trouble and that was decreasing second by second. She then heard the guards announce Jodha Begum’s arrival and her irritation again increased. However, her irritation turned to surprise seeing Jodha Begum. She looked like she had gone through a very terrible illness. Her body conveyed her thinness and her face looked haggard with dark circle under her eyes and yet the purity in them still shone through and her confidence was seen in her posture. Along with her was that irritating Shaguni Bai of Jodha. Shaguni Bai along with Moti, walk alongside Jodha as Jalal hurried towards Jodha and said “Jodha Begum aapka tabiyat kharab hai,aapko aaram ki zaroorat hai.” Jodha Begum taking a deep breath showing her difficult breathing said “Nahi Shahenshah, hume yahan par rehna zyada avashyakta hai.”

Before Jalal could argue, Salima Begum who had come behind Jodha said “Shahenshah, Jodha Begum sahi farma rahi hai. Unka yahan rehna zyada zaroori hai.” Something silent passes between Salima Begum and Jalal which narrows Maham Anga’s eyes in suspicion. Jalal surprising everyone, catches Jodha’s hand and makes her sit on the couch. Salima Begum sits on the opposite couch while Moti stands behind Jodha. Shaguni Bai surprises everyone and sits on the floor. Jodha Begum said “Shaguni Bai,aap aaram se kursi par baith sakti hai.” Shaguni Bai cackles and said ‘Jodha beta, kursi kabhi zameen ki thandak ke barabari nahi kar sakti. Hum yahan par hi thik hai.” The guards then announce another surprising arrival. Jalal gives permission and allows Salim Chisti Saheb to enter the room. Salim Chisti Saheb enters and smiles seeing Shaguni Bai on the floor. Shaguni Bai said “Toh aap bhi aa gaye kudrat ka karishma dekhne Chisti Sahab?”. Chisti Sahab smiles and sits on the floor opposite to Shaguni Bai.

Maham Anga feels her heartbeats increasing, her mouth becoming dry and her palms becoming sweaty. What can she do?. For the first time, she feels fear not of the deed she has done, but of the consequences. If Jalal found out about his child’s death, then she is safe.She had left no evidence behind that she was connected except for that box.Remembering that box, she feels that box inside the dress. She has to get the box rid as soon as possible. There is no other option. But how does she get out of the room?. Now Salim Chisti Saheb is in the room, she cannot go out of the room as it might seem as an insult to him. So lost in her thoughts, that she did not see Mallika-E-Azam and Hakim Sahiba come into the room. At the same time, Atga Sahab and Maan Singh also enters the room. Hearing voices from both sides, Maham Anga comes to attention.

To everyone’s surprise, Jalal first gave the permission, to Mallika-E-Aazam and Hakim Sahiba to speak. Hakim Sahiba said “Fikar karne ki koi baat nahi hai Shahenshah. Hamal ke waqt aksar,pait me dard hota. Humne Begum-E-Khas ko dawai di hai. Unka aaram karna sabse zyada zaroori hai, isliye kuch dino ke liye unhe aapke aur Mallika-E-Aazam ke alawa kisi aur se na milne hi behtar hoga.”

Everyone breathes a sigh of relief with Salima Begum making the prayer sign for thanking God along with Jodha Begum. Shaguni Bai said “Jab karishma khud bhagwan ka banaya ho, toh hum kaun hote ashirwad dene wale.” Salim Chisti smiles and said “Ameen.”

Atga Sahab then said “Shahenshah, khabar pakki thi aur humne us insaan ko ek Atithigrah me pakda hai. Uske saath,baccha girane ki dawai banana ka ark bhi mila hai. Humne use kaal khotri me daal diya.”

Chapter 10

Maham Anga, feels herself turn cold. The person who had made medicine is caught. But how? How did the news reach Shahenshah?. Maham Anga feels Jalal call her. She plasters a smile on her face and said “Ji Shahenshah.” Jalal looks at her with an unreadable expression said “Hum yeh keh rahe the, ki kal uss insaan ko Diwan-E-Khas me paish kiya jaye.” Jalal for the first time, does not make it like a request but an order. Maham Anga smiles and nods. Shaguni Bai and Salim Chisti Sahab got up from the floor and Salim Chisti said “Ab humare chalne ka waqt ho gaya hai Shahenshah.” Jodha said “Arre, Salim Chisti Sahab, aap dono todhi der aur ruk sakte toh hum acha lagta.” Shaguni Bai chuckles and said “Jodha beta, agar hum yahan todhi der aur ruke toh bhukap aane se hum bhi nahi rok payenge. Hum sirf tumhare vishwas se aaye Jodha beta aur aaj dekho tumhare issi vishwas ke wajah se aaj do mazab ek saath ek kamre me reh sakte aur bhagwan tumhari iccha ke saamne jhuk kar apna irada bhi badal sakta hai.” Jodha looks down in shyness as she is not used to hearing such words from such an esteemed person.

Jodha folds her hands in a namaste and said “Hume sharminda mat kijiye Shaguni Bai. Ye humare wajah se nahi aap dono ke wajah se hua hai. Aap dono ke ashirwad ke wajah Rukaiyya Begum ki goad suni hone se bach gaye. Isme humara kuch yogdhan nahi hai.” Shaguni Bai and Salim Chisti Sahab smile seeing this humbleness in Jodha.

Hamida Begum said “Hum aap logoke iccha anusar ruka nahi sakte par ek iccha hai humari.” Salim Chisti Sahab said “Aapki iccha aur hum na mane Maalika-E-Aazam. Aisa kabhi ho sakta?”.Hamida Begum said “Aap log ek maar Rukaiyya Begum se milke jayiye. Aur unhe ye ashirwad dijiye, ki unki goad kabhi suni na ho.” Shaguni Bai and Salim Chisti Sahab nod and enter the room followed by Jalal and Hamida begum. Maham Angaleaves fuming in her heart and wondering how the hell did her plan fail?. How did that idiot man get caught. Catching Atga Sahab outside along with Maan Singh, Maham Anga asked in a sugary sweet voice “Atga Sahab, yeh kya khabar thi ki koi insaan baccha girane ka dawai bana raha tha?”. Atga Sahab looks at Maan Singh and said “Ji Wazir-E-Aliya, hume yeh khabar mili thi, ki kissine yeh aadmi ki baate suni thi ki who baccha girane ka dawai banata hai. Aur apne ek grahak se milne woh yahan par padar rahe hai. Khabar yeh bhi thi ki woh grahak ne kaha ki woh grahak uss garbvati aurat bina uske marzi ke baccha giranewala tha. Toh humne chaanbhin shuru kardiya taaki us insaan ko hum pakad sake aur humne pakad liya.” Maan Singh then said “Waise, kitna gira hua insaan woh grahak hoga na, jisne ek masoom si jaan ko paida hone se pehle maar dalane ka yojna banata hai? Haina Wazir-E-Aliya. Aapke mazab me ye gunaah mana jaata hai aur uss insaan ko nark ka stan diya jaata hai. Yahi likha haina Wazir-E-Aliya.” Maham Anga posts a fake smile andsaid “Ha woh insaan bohut bura hoga jo ek masoom si zindagi ka katil karne ki gunaah soche. Par kabhi kabhi, kuch gunaah karne ke liye kuch wajaho ke wajah se unhe jaayez bhi mana jaata hai.”

Maan Singh smiles and then said “Maaf kijiye Wazir-E-Aliya, magar woh faisla toh unke haatho me hi hona chahiye jo pait se hai, dusre ke haatho me nahi. Yeh mera niji bhavna hai. Dusro ke zindagi ke faisle agar hum karne lagenge toh hum apni zindagi ke faisle karne ka mauka avashya kho denge.”

Atga Sahab said “Sahi farmaya hai Maan Singh. Chaliye uss insaan ko puchtach karni. Shahenshah ko uss grahak ka naam chahiye Diwan-i-Khas se pehle.” And both of them leave, leaving Maham Anga deep in her thoughts.

Rukaiyya opens her eyes and seeing Shaguni Bai and Salim Chisti Sahab stand before her along with Jalal and Hamida Begum. She attempts to get up but Hamida Begum pushes her down and said “Nahi, Rukaiyya beta, aapko aaram karna. Hakim Sahiba ka hukum hai.” Shaguni Bai said “Aur vaidyo ka hukum toh avashya manana chahiye haina Chisti Sahab.”Chisti Sahab said “Hamesha nahi, warne humari mithai kam karne ki koshish zaroor karenge.” Shaguni Bai chuckles and said “Aapko dekhke lagta nahi ki aap vaidyo ki baat maante bhi hai.” Rukaiyya looks on in amazement at the sight of Chisti Sahab chuckling. She always thought that no two religions can stand beside each other side by side and yet today the miracle happened. Two religions standing side by side smiling and providing an example of religions that can live together in harmony. Shaguni Bai said “Hum tumhe ashirwad dete hai Rukaiyya Begum ki tumhare Kanha ko uski Yashoda avashya milegi. Aur jab tak tumhare dil me mamta ho, tab tak tumhari goad suni na rahe.” Salim Chisti said “Ameen.”

After bidding farewell to Jalal and his family, Shaguni Bai and Salim Chisti Sahab walk together with their disciplies till they reach the outside of Agra. Chisti Sahab then asked Shaguni Bai “Kya lagta hai Shaguni Bai, jab waqt aayega toh Rukaiyya Begum ka faisla kya hoga?”. Shaguni Bai smiles and said “Samay ka kya hota hai woh toh samay aane par hi pata chalta hai Chisti Sahab. Ab yeh toh sirf waqt hi batayega ki Kanha ka Yashoda kaun banega aur aage ki kahani iski wajah se kya hogi?”.
