There was an account here which sounded harsh and antagonize many... so it was banned. But the point they made was so accurate.
Ghum replaced Shruti part2 with Pakhi... didn't give her cancer but made her surrogate and made V bend to all her wishes often to the disappointment of Sai which eventually made Sai leave the house.
They mixed up storylines, added their own tadka and spoiled Vs characterization... no amount of justification can be given for V marrying P (woman who was responsible for his beloveds troubles, miscarriage and perceived death or his son's death)
If it had been any other woman... it would have still worked because then Vs farz Vs pyaar would have been more dramatic and high on emotional quotient.
They didn't even redeem P like RK was... I have not seen KD but read enough... RK was the one who reunites Emon Rono in the last episode... she genuinely changes and turns positive.
P ran away like a thief... spoiling everyone forever....
Satya on the other hand... was simply not needed... he too served no purpose in the leads story...
I agree with your POV but I must say all gets messed up because of the ML Neil Bhatt not Virat here wanted his wife in every scene. in every frame with him.
The writers did change the story but the Shruti track was the WORST in the original series as there the ML is the actor cum villain.
Here they turned the situation in such a way to show Virat is married to Pakhi.(Sai and Vinayak were missing)
After watching both shows I will say Ghum is more digestible.
In the original show, ML cares neither for his wife nor his child a baby was conceived out of nothing.
I can't say anything for Satya only that the actor was not well utilized.
His family was given too much footage instead of himself.
The last episode of every show is simply good after years of headaches.
if you watch KD in Hindi it is re-named Kaasme Vaade Pakhi is better than Shruti she's simply a bitch at least Pakhi was the DIL of the family.
