as expected Maan got rid of those articles and took revenge against those people that troubled Geet

M - Are you happy about the people who are getting fined and audited and jailed?

G - .... I guess I am happy that justice is served.

Maan sighs....

Here he has been toiling night and day and over there someone doesn't even care!!

Geet heard Maan sigh and wondered if he was really tired. Since they came back from the vacation, he had been extremely busy, working late daily. They didn't even get to meet again.

Geet herself had also been busy, going to auditions and script readings to finalize her upcoming schedules.

Ever since the resort vacation, Geet had come to a firm decision to give herself and Maan a chance and put full effort into their relationship.

This is her first romantic relationship and although she doesn't know much, Geet feels that it shouldn't always be Maan asking her to meet and get together.

If she misses him, she needs to be more honest and open about it.

G - Are you very busy? Can you take some time out coming weekend?

M - oh...? Why~~~?

Maan dragged out the last syllable. His tone clearly suggesting that he was in the mood to tease her.

Instantly overcoming all his overwork fatigue.

In past, Geet would have been irritated or annoyed or anxious by Maan's tone.

But now, the present her understands Maan better and knows that he means nothing bad or frivolous.

He is probably looking for something to brighten his mood.

G - so we can meet...can we?

M - sure. Let's meet up. I'll make time on Sunday? What do you have in mind?

Geet was stumped by the counter question...

Have what in mind? Huh? Don't they usually just have a meal and watch TV or talk. The usual... What else does he want?

G - umm.. dinner.. I'll cook?

M - Why you need me to take time off for just dinner?

G - ermm... then can you be free for the whole day too?

M - Yup.

G - okay... then... let me plan…

M - oh!!! Like a date?

G - ....

Her pupils widen.

G - what date? We are married.

Maan chuckled over the phone. Happy with losing out on the ‘date' and gaining to experience a day as normal married couple.

M - umhmm... That we are.

Geet rubbed her slight red ear and hurriedly said goodbye to Maan after that.

After the call Geet didn't know what to do about this 'date'.

Moreover, she didn't know if Maan called it a 'date' jokingly, pulling her leg or was he really anticipating date like meeting?

Geet didn't want to treat their next meeting casually.

Her mind told her not to get too worked up for nothing.. it could be just Maan saying whatever.. what if she plans too much and it goes too far and Maan doesn't like any of it? Is fine to just meet as they always do?

But.. but... A date.. she wondered what it felt like to be on a proper date. And she really wanted to go on classic cliched date with Maan...

Geet searched online for what couples can do on a date. Where they go...

There were lot of good ideas but unfortunately, they were all in public places and Geet couldn't go there.

There were some bizarre and extreme outlier suggestions which Geet ignored.

That left food ... movie ... park or sightseeing.

There wasn't anything new to sightsee... both Maan and Geet are familiar with the city.

They can't go too far as they only have 1 day.

And then... tv/movie and food...

Haven't they been doing these all along? They already went on so many dates??!!

Or did the 'date’ Maan spoke about indicated doing something more than pg18?

Geet blushed and shook her head to clear it. Nope. Nope...

Geet thought a lot...

Maan was working in his cabin.

His secretary enters bewildered.

Sec- Sir !! Sir!!

Maan looks up annoyed at his anxious tone

M- What is it?

Sec- Sir…Sir…Man…

M- Huh?

His interest peaks.

Sec- Mam is here!

Maan jaldi se khada ho jaata hai.

M- What? Get her in!

Sec- Yes. Yes.

Secretary runs towards the cabin door.

Maan quickly straightens his clothes & hair to look presentable.

As he hears the door open, he sits back on his chair with the best posture possible.

Secretary grins secretly, a minute back he saw his boss slouching over his laptop.

Geet enters wearing a simple dress, with minimal makeup, looking absolutely fresh faced like a flower.

G- Hi!

The secretary leaves Mam & Sir to enjoy the privacy

M- Hey! Tum yahan?

G- Oh! I am sorry. Am I bothering you in your work? Main toh bass…

M- No No…not at all…I was just surprised…I mean pleasantly surprised…Tum baitho naa

He walks towards her and directs her to the plush couch

G- Thanks. Office is really nice. Its so big…and nicely decorated

M- I am glad that it’s to your liking.

Why this awkwardness, are they teenagers? He wonders

G- Main actually…hamari baat hui then…actually I made lunch…mujhe ek shoot pe jaana tha…woh nahi ho raha…so maine socha ki…lunch time hai…. I... I have also made lunch and thought... maybe you'd like to share it with me….

She shows the picnic basket in her hand.

Outside the cabin all the employees are speculating seeing Geet.

Some recognize her as a TV celebrity some don’t.

Some are appalled that Boss’s mistress will meet with him so openly.

Some don’t care.

G- I am sorry…

He who was looking at the food looks up at her surprised, why is she sorry for making him food?

G- I should have thought this through….last time I came your employees were not here…ofcourse its weekday…office hours…

M- I will handle this. Don’t worry.

She nods.

M- So what are we having?

She smiles seeing his enthusiasm.

G- Its simple…the lunch that I grew up having…I don’t know if would like it….

He looks at the food with admiration instead of the disgust she was expecting.

G- I made some yellow Dal Tadka, aloo ki sabzi, baingan- eggplant fry, achar, papad, some saag & raita.

He pushes the plate towards her.

She happily serves him.

After she sees him take a bite and witnesses appreciative satisfied grin, she could take her bite.

She could see he really enjoyed the food seeing him increase his eating pace.

Reality was, he had never had something like this. No restaurant no chef his family had could ever bring this taste.

Everything was so simple yet delicious.

And her gesture, he hasn’t experienced this kind of warmth before

Coming over and meeting him coz she missed him was not that bad of an idea.

Maybe she should do it often.

She thinks grinning to herself.

She looks at Maan happily eating and thinks how far they've come.
