PART 14
He entered the office next day with determination of finding answers to all his questions, the questions which do not let him live in peace for a single moment. Today he was going to find out about her, by hook or by crook.
It was almost an hour since he was here and thought it was now time to execute his plan. He called Adi and asked for some details of Mr. Mehra's project.
He deliberately asked such details for which Yash would be required although he knew Yash won't be there till lunch break. Yash had assured him that if Maan would need anything, his secretary would be there to help him out. And how could have Maan let such golden opportunity slip from his hand, and so he was ready with a plan.
Adi informed Yash's office to prepare the required details of the project whereas he too got busy in gathering the information that was needed whereas Maan was waiting restlessly and bothering Adi again and again to get it done fast.
Almost after 2 hours the work was done and presented to Maan. Adi had already been requested to present all the details so he was telling everything about the progress of the project so far whereas Muskaan too was there from Yash's side as she prepared the details which were being presented.
After the details had been done with, Maan immediately sent Adi for some work and Muskaan started wrapping up her stuffs. As she moved to the door, it didn't open. She tried again but failed.
Suddenly she felt a pair of hands at her shoulders which harshly turned her around and she met his eyes. She had been avoiding any eye contact with any of the two present there and that gave Maan enough confidence to do what he intended to.
His eyes depicted the anger, the irritation and the frustration he had undergone till now. He had that longing as well as pain in them which he had suffered all these years searching for her. Yet there was happiness in them, the happiness of finding her, the happiness of being able to see her again in blood and flesh rather than his imagination and the happiness of getting a chance to bring her back in his life once again.
But Muskaan was getting restless with it and lowered her eyes not being able to hold that gaze which was piercing her soul. He asked her to look back in his eyes but when she didn't complied and pure anger took over all the emotions Maan was feeling till the last moment.
He shook her harshly demanding her to meet his eyes but again she refused. Finding no other option he forcefully made her look up and started bombarding her with his questions.
Why are you behaving like a stranger? Don't you know me? Are you not Geet? Have you forgotten everything or just faking it all?
She didn't say anything.
Answer it damn it. I need answers to all my questions now!!! I know you are Geet so just stop this game and tell me.
Where were you these years? Why the hell did you change your name? And where is your family?
Tears started flowing out of those beautiful hazels that he had dreamt about God knows how many times. His eyes softened at this while he continued with a soft voice.
Do you have any idea what I have gone through searching for you since past 3 years? I didn't had any clue that where you went suddenly and why. I tried contacting you and your family so many times but your family too went missing since then. I didn't knew how to reach you but was still trying anything and everything which would lead me to you!!!
His hands reached her cheeks, cupping them whereas his eyes were filled with pain.
You don't even know what types of ideas I was getting thinking where you would have gone alone in such a hurry. Why you never ever tried contacting anyone back there? Why you never tried reaching your friends? Was everything alright? Were you safe?
I was scared for you.
Watching her not responding to anything and again lowering her gaze, he got angry making his hold tighter on her arms.
Here I was getting sleepless nights and there you were busy enjoying your life. Here I was dieing each day thinking about your safety and you didn't cared even a bit about it!!!
She just stood there like a statue. She was neither accepting nor opposing anything he said which irritated him to the core. He turned her, hitting her back to the other wall and shouted at her, controlling his voice just enough so that it doesn't go out of the cabin.
Why are you not saying anything? Do I look like a political leader here giving some stupid speech?
I am asking you questions, just answer them dammit!!!
And then he heard a knock at his cabin door. Frustrated he left her and opened the door while Muskaan just wiped her tears and left the room.
Adi, who was the one knocking the door, stood outside looking at Muskaan and Maan. Muskaan, whose eyes seemed red due to crying and Maan, whose were red because of anger. It didn't take much time for him to think what would have happened after he left the cabin.
He came inside and looked at Maan suspiciously asking the questions which only confirmed his doubts. Adi made him sit and questioned him calmly trying to put some sense in his friend.
Do you really think directly asking her is she Geet or not will lead you anywhere?
Maan looked at at Adi with a stern face which made Adi sigh and he more softly tried making Maan look through his point.
Maan I mean if she would have really wanted to tell you that she is Geet, would she behave the way she had been since coming in front of us? She doesn't want us to know about her. I don't know if she is Geet or not
Maan interrupted him looking really angry SHE IS GEET.
Adi took a deep breath and again started.
Okay, my mistake. She is Geet. Fine?
Maan nodded while he continued.
But now she wants us to find out about her ourselves. She won't be telling us anything so WE have to find out what happened in these years to make her behave this way ourselves.
Is it clear now?
Maan again nodded his head making Adi smile at his gesture.

it seems you came back after centuries 😡😊 I had almost forgotten the story and had to read last part before this one...great update and good to have you back and now don't disappear again like before and please continue with regular updates...waiting for more 😛
