8.45pm: Well, that's a drubbing for last year's beaten finalists. Phil Salt gets a tough introduction to captaincy, standing in for the absent Jos Buttler - his future in the competition still TBD - as Welsh Fire make it double-header delight, after the slightly harder-won success for the women earlier

David Willey is Match Hero: "We wanted to start well, talked about setting the tone. We got a nice start. Some balls have swung in practice, some haven't. Having a left-armer do that is always dangerous. We want to do our strengths well, the backroom staff have put a good squad together and the bowlers are gelling nicely. Last year was great fun, my most-enjoyable Hundred. The staff have put together a great squad, we enjoy each other's company on and off the field. [Rauf] He's a world-class bowler, great to have him here with us. Nice to contribute tonight."

Hello and welcome to our coverage of Match 4 of The Hundred. Northern Superchargers and Trent Rockets are the only two remaining teams who are yet to open their campaign, and they will do so this evening at Headingley. Superchargers have a new coach and a new captain in Andrew Flintoff and Harry Brook respectively. Brook, though, won't be available for this game as he's on national duty. Both these teams didn't make it beyond the league stages last season. They'll be hoping for a better performance this time around.

Matt has some intriguing insight into the fast-paced world of the T20 franchise super-star too: "Nicholas Pooran was playing Major League Cricket in Dallas about 37 hours ago but is here in Leeds after an overnight flight, linking up with Northern Superchargers this morning. One major problem: his bags didn't arrive, so he had to go shopping on arrival. I'm told he's using a borrowed bat, though I'm yet to find out who from..."
