Harmanpreet Kaur - We would have batted first as well, but we'll have to bowl well and restrict them. We have one change, Pooja is out with an injury,s he's replaced by Sajana. We'll have to move forward with a positive approach, it's always how you bounce back and we've spoken about it. We will go out there and play some positive cricket.

Fatima Sana - We will bat first, put up a total on the board. Diana Baig misses out, that's the only change, she's replaced by Arooba. It's a big blow, but we've players who can do well in her absence. We'll try to put up a good total here. I'm excited to lead Pakistan against India

Pakistan Women have won the toss and have opted to bat

It's searingly hot in the middle, it's 37 degree celsius, the players will feel like 40. 61m and 60m square boundaries while the straight boundary is at 73m. It's pitch number 5, the conditions are tough and the batters will need to assess it quickly. There will be a lot of spinners from both teams, the conditions are slow and low, reckon Mel Jones and Anjum Chopra, in their pitch report

Vaneez Saraswat: "Why would you pick Reddy over Vastrakar when both bowl similarly but Vastrakar is much better power hitter" Vastrakar has a niggle according to Harmanpreet

Mike: "India's batting line-up is a risky one, again. None of the batters below Deepti at 6 have significant international experience. A top-order collapse (like vs NZ) would jeopardize their chances of making semis even more."

Righto, what do you think about the team changes? I must add both are forced changes according to the captains. Pakistan have won an important toss, and a good score could leave India a little restless. And with that, please welcome Sudarshanan on the comms stint for the first time today.

Harmanpreet Kaur: We were also looking to bat. We have a good opportunity We have one change, Pooja is not playing. She has a small niggle. This stage we have to look forward with a positive approach. Always about how we bunce back. We just want to play positive cricket.

I think niggle might be an excuse to drop her smiley36

Both teams have a similar composition - two seamers and a plethora of spinners. Harmanpreet said she expects this track to spin, so let's see how India go about it. I think this is Pakistan's best chance of knocking India out - batting first in slightly better batting and harsh fielding conditions and then having to do the other facet at a better time. Add to it the fact that India are under pressure.
