London Spirit vs Birmingham Phoenix, 5th Match
Series: The Hundred Mens Competition 2024
Venue: Lord's, London
Date & Time: Jul 27, 06:35 PM LOCAL
Teams:
London Spirit (Playing XI): Adam Rossington(w), Daniel Bell-Drummond, Michael-Kyle Pepper, Daniel Lawrence(c), Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell, Liam Dawson, Ryan Higgins, Olly Stone, Nathan Ellis, Daniel Worrall
Birmingham Phoenix (Playing XI): Rishi Patel, Aneurin Donald(w), Liam Livingstone, Dan Mousley, Moeen Ali(c), Jacob Bethell, Benny Howell, James Fuller, Sean Abbott, Adam Milne, Tim Southee
Dan Lawrence: We were edging towards bowling first, but wasn't really sure. (On the pitch for the women's game earlier) Actually, it was quite dry, hopefully we can score good runs and then defend. Want to give all the lads freedom to express themselves. Brady (Bopara) has got a niggle and Ryan Higgins comes in.
Moeen Ali: We are gonna have a bowl first. Just to stay in the game as much as we can, we bowled well in the last game and we have to rectify the issues in our batting. Just have to be postiive and get back to the basics. Just one change - Tom Helm goes out and James Fuller comes in.
Birmingham Phoenix have won the toss and have opted to field

I think pak players are also there
I don't like the format. 100 balls per innings, 5 balls per over.. watched couple of matches last year..bakwas laga
I think Naseem Shah is playing the hundred.. baqi sab playing some Canadian league
6 Southee to Bell-Drummond, OUT
Pins him first ball! Bell-Drummond trapped on the crease, hit on the knee roll, and up goes the finger! He chats to his partner but won't review. Perfect length, running the ball back into the right-hander down the slops - and the perfect start for Southee
Daniel Bell-Drummond lbw b Southee 6 (6b 1x4 0x6) SR: 100
(14/100 balls) 19/1
Spirit Innings
21 Abbott to Pepper, OUT
Scooped straight to short fine leg! Swinging away outside off, not a great deal of pace on it, either... and Pepper can't manufacture the power or angle to clear the man inside the ring. Abbott emulates Southee in taking a wicket with his first ball
Michael Pepper c Milne b Abbott 16 (12b 3x4 0x6) SR: 133.33
23 Abbott to Rossington, OUT
Slog-swept, taken right on the rope... and Mousley completes the relay to himself!
Adam Rossington c Mousley b Abbott 1 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 25
LS-M
(23/100 balls) 29/3
OK remaining match will watch in my dream
25 Abbott to Lawrence, OUT
Bowled him, through the gate! On a length and then nipping down the slope as Lawrence pushes forward. A Test match dismissal at this grand old Test venue, and Abbott has two in three balls. Spirit rocking, but not in the good way
Dan Lawrence b Abbott 1 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50
3 wicket haul for Abbott
Spirit Innings
28 Abbott to Higgins, OUT
Full, driven - snapped up at backward point! Low catch for Livingstone but safely held, and Spirit are five down! Abbott has his third in eight balls and thinks it's an easy game
Ryan Higgins c Livingstone b Abbott 0 (3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0
4 wicket haul for Abbott
Already 5 wickets gone
