Yes he is absolutely right. He is not obliged to babysit anyone unless they pay him for that. He should be encouraged to focus on his own life instead.

Interesting topic... I read also through the comments and I agree with their support of not going to get exploited.

Luckily, he is grown up enough to make this clear decision.

Yes, the comments are very interesting. Everyone supports him, not one person took the step mother's side

I found this interesting

"How in the world does someone have seven exes and be on his eighth wife by 45? I m 41 and cannot fathom that. Where does he meet this women?

Do these women know about his past? Bizarre situation all around "

Western people and their weird lifestyle. Such people are never happy in life.

No wonder more and more westerners are being drawn to Hinduism.

Wouldn't they go broke paying alimony after divorcing so many times?

Bold - Divorce is increasing in India too

Maybe they did not demand or pay alimony.

Not everyone in India is Hindu or believes in God. They might be athiests?

That became very prominent in the late 60ies and 70ies, especially with the young adults... a strong wish for peace and more humanity, tolerance and open-mindedness. It was the nacing time of antiauthoritarian education, too.

You mean he's a Bluebeard (There's an old funny Charlie Chaplin movie on that topic)

No, if you read the comments and his reply, it's implied he divorced them
