This movie is now being promoted as a cult movie but frankly speaking it was not. I remember when it was released only A.R.Rahman garnered praises for his music. The movie was a huge flop then and I remember Maddy was criticized for his weight by lot of Bollywood critics then.

This movie is known only for music and nothing else.

Don’t the reruns do well on tv ?

No idea lol. If they do it's only because of the music.
