I felt the movie didn't actually glorify Karna. In fact if it glorified anyone then it has to be Ashwatthama. I don't know about others but in whichever movies/serials that I watched on Maharabharata, Ashwatthama was always projected as a villain who took the wrong side and was an evil nasty man. This movie showed him in a different and interesting light and I enjoyed watching this kind hearted gentle Ashwatthama.

On the other hand Bhairava is a grey shaded character all throughout the movie. He is not just shown as a greedy man who can stoop so low to fulfill his motive but also an opportunist who can use anyone for his selfish motive and later ditch them. Karna too was a power hungry greedy man and an opportunist. I wonder why they named him Bhairava which is another name of Lord Shiva. They should have named him something that's connected with the Sun God. It will be revealed later why he is so desperate to go inside the complex. Let's see if they glorify Karna's character in the second part.

When you think about it then yeah its true 😂 it didn't glorify karna except that one scene of rath

In next movie they should really show the kaal Bhairava connection because they literally built up to that, karna beech mei kaise aa gaya pata nahi 😅

I finally saw the film and felt both Prabhas and Deepika acted well, don't get why some are downplaying their performances. Everyone in my family enjoyed Prabhas' role.

Also can I please have some more Vijay as Arjun in Part 2, he is my fave Telugu actor apart from Prabhas and seeing them as Karna and Arjun in more scenes will be an absolute delight for me as their fan!!This movie was a true fangirl experience for me as it starred my fave heroine of all time Deepu and my two fave Telugu actors!!!

I don’t know who he is going to represent but I can assure you that it will be worth the wait and all the buildup. Especially someone like Kamal helming the role, I am expecting some really good stuff. And I am sure Arjuna is going to make a come back too. And with the new characters and cameos to spice up the things, Part 2 is going to be a riot. 🤞

Btw, since you said DP is your favorite, just want to tell you what Nagi said in his interviews about her character development. He was saying Sumati is going to have the biggest character arcs amongst all his characters.

The part of killing / experimenting on fertile women to get that serum (that would eventually kill both the mom and the baby) does seem a little inspired by the story of Kansa who killed babies in an attempt to kill vasudev and devaki's kid. The way fire made way for Sumati to pass through while escaping also seems similar to the miracles that helped vasudeva carry Krishna to Nand.

The dystopian world is awesomely built. But they showed human elements beautifully in that futuristic world of high tech gadgets. I liked how they showed the desperation and hopes of rebels. Even Deepika's confusion, vulnerability and resilience was shown pretty well. I hope they retain the great parts and just get rid of cringe comedy from the 1st half.

Also, did anyone understand what exactly is that complex? How come it had sea beach, lakes, fruit gardens and all that stuff - or was it a dream sequence. I didn't understand and likeli wasn't paying much attention. That entire Roxie sequence tested my patience

Those were all the things that Yaskin stole or usurped from the rest of the universe and kept them locked in his self created bubble called complex and making everything available for a price. It was not a dream sequence but a part of world building and character intro.

B - wow nice observation 💯

In the starting scenes a person had said that kashi is last city of earth and complex has everything because yaskin has taken everything from the world and kept it there , I think the elites who helped yaskin win over the world are kept there 🤔
