It was a pure Imtiaz Ali movie and both (Ranbir and Imtiaz) gelled so well.
The years I liked Ranbir the most in movies had been from 2008 to 2015...then, something changed - at least in my perception.

BI, personally, I see this term "playing a manchild" as for an actor whose roles mainly are characters stuck in issues coming from the childhood and dealing with them in a still not mature way...
I don't remember anything except duck lips of Nargis Fakhri.

The movie would have seen a greater success if only they had casted a better actress.Nargis ruined it for me but man Ranbir nailed the role of a rockstar.He was terrific in the movie and it is urely one of my all time fav albums.
