Though I understand that women would not come up with sth like this normally but there are exceptions. It's really difficult to choose a side in such cases. Rationality says what is the proof but how can one even have any proof about sth like this? I hope she files a complaint and fights it legally.

No woman will lie about being sexually abused.
It is highly humiliating and disturbing experience.
No one wishes to speak about these things and bring up painful trauma, but they are still daring to do it, and that is because world needs to know what kind scum these people really are.
See our society now, even though they are willing to speak out of their past trauma, people will mock them , or blame them!
Knowing this, they come out and speak, and that requires bravery and truth to back it up.

This isn't a man vs woman issue. It is about facts and truth. And right now there isn't much to go on unless we decide to go on a witch hunt. The burden of proof is always going to be important for me irrespective of one's gender. And there has been a lot of women who have taken advantage of rape laws/section 498 etc to use against men and to ruin them for good. There are bad apples in every gender and hence why we should proceed with caution. Lets not make another Hrithik Roshan out of Ali Zafar.

Yes there is. Circumstantial evidence, phone records, whatsapp screenshots, dirty emails, or other witnesses. It could be anything from harmless flirting to out right rape and if what she says is true then there would be some evidence trail surely.

and this is exactly where we consider the other side guilty simply coz of his gender and simply coz of a generalized statement like this..

no..some women have lied..rakhi sawant and her friend publically lied about sexual harrassment..there have been cases

however..i am all for support against harrassment..but lets not give anyone undue favour simply based on gender..this is exactly why moments like these lose focus when partiality comes in our judgement way before anything is even infront of us..

Well if it is very old then there isn't a possibility of all of that. In other cases too, if a man squeezes your butt and you keep mum, well, that's pretty much it then. No evidence! Nothing. Then there are cases like Aziz Ansari's where it was misguided MeToo movement imo. It was bad sex and not harrasement as far as I understand.
Anyway, I don't support either of them. I am kinda shook myself coz Ali was one of the few men I have always liked.

I wonder when a child goes to his parent and says the priest was touching them here and there, how does parents respond
I wonder if parents really get into details or ask for priests standards
Or let's find the standard of my mother, sister , daughter, whom they are accusing of molesting them
Wonder if they have high standard

Btw Anyone else noticed that how the the trend is to abuse children in churches now , doesn't matter which religion
Burn all the churches and priests , corrupt system
Find god in your heart

Don't trust no one now

I hope Bollywood goes bankrupt one day

Exactly way too many cases to even list here and I know what you mean but if we base things without evidence then we will become a lawless society. I have full sympathies with her if what she says is true, but so far she hasn't filed a police complaint, hasn't complained that the police didn't try to help her, hasn't submitted any evidence to back it up her claim. Courts all over the world operate based on evidence, not emotions or feelings. I know I am going to get a lot of flak for this but it is better to let 99 guilty ones go than to punish 1 innocent one. Just because a lot of women are getting raped or molested doesn't mean I will support this finger pointing and presume every man is guilty.

Nope. I don't think someone as famous as him would do something like this with other people around esp since she is not a literal nobody. And really? phone records and stuff? Most sexual harassment cases are not chronic. It could someone touching you inappropriately for just a second, groping you. How can there be evidence trail for something like that. Also that's exactly the kind of abuse women face on the daily so there is literally nothing one can prove.
