Whoa! This is huge for Pakistani entertainment industry as Ali Zafar is one of the biggies and Meesha is a well known singer. Till now most women who have come out with the harassment they faced have been small timers and those no longer working actively. It takes lots of guts to come out with such experiences and taking names at that.

this is why women can never come speak up about their sexual harassment issues in desi countries.. the men will always get defended and treated with kids gloves..

and even fellow women will be like "but theyre in entertainment industry.. they show skin" etc etc

and also there's fan dynamics.. imagine if someone like Deepika Padukone spoke about her sexual harassment stories.. fan dynamics will come into play

are there any women here who have never been assaulted/sexually harassed by men? i doubt it.. so obviously there would be a LOT of stories involving desi male celebs ...

Ali Zafar can always file a character defamation case if she is lying.

Meesha is a very famous celeb in Pakistan and I would say at this moments doing BETTER than Ali Zafar; both as a singer and actor. She doesn't NEED the publicity. I'm glad she felt empowered to speak up. This is what we need. The popular names to come forward and speak up, coz people are most likely going to listen.
