Irreversible
Apparently this is one of the movie's that once seen, cannot be unseen so I was kinda avoiding seeing it.
Anyway it is gruesome to watch in parts-I found things to do in some of the scenes but I could still hear the sounds. There is extreme violence in the movie with a very protracted and harrowing rape scene-you actually see the brutality that is such an intrinsic part of something as violent as rape.

This is a movie, which polarises opinion -you either like it, or hate it. To my surprise I rather liked it.
It made me feel angry, helpless and then just sad.

The acting was brilliant, the filming was a bit strange in the initial scenes and people who get migraines and seizures should avoid watching it as it could trigger episodes of same.

This is what happens with a shitty movie that wins a clash. Remember reading funniest tweets by some critics the day it was shown to media. Same thing happened with Bajirao.. Day 1 - Both Dilwale and Bajirao were criticized.. from the time the industry and media realized BM is gonna win the clash they changed their tune. Bajirao became a classic by the award season.

#Rustom is the kind of film where after a flash of lightning and then thunder, a character says, "Lagta hai bemausam barsaat hone wali hai."

Fitoor - The movie was half baked with some well directed shots here and there. Mainly it was let down by just about terrible acting from the leads and Tabu (HOW!??!!!) too.
The kid Noor and Firdaus had better chemistry than ARK-Kat. i love the movie version of Pashmina more now too. Who was the guy who played Kat's fiance? He has good screen presence and can act too!

Ki&Ka - out and out Bebo affair, she looked fabulous and was so natural and effortless. It was lighthearted and a fun watch. Not a perfect movie, but I loved the last conversation about how it wasnt about the genders but the clash between a homemaker and the breadwinner.

Arjun Kapoor surprisingly wasnt annoying (no fan at all!), he played his part just fine. Nothing extraordinary though, but not as blank as he usually is

The Man Who knew Infinity - interesting biopic about someone I just knew the name of - Ramanujan. Dev Patel looked quite good in this one, though he still suffers from limited expressions problem. Jeremy Irons though! What a phenomenal actor. His delivery of eulogy made me teary eyed. All in all, an informative movie made with good intentions, can be too documentary-ish at times.

Parched (Hindi)- A very relevant and important film for India but falls short of being a brilliant film due to unnecessary melodrama and the constant need to evoke sympathy for the characters by the writers and some flaws in direction. The film somewhat is like an extension to Pink that goes off track by the end.Acting wise, the whole cast is good overall but Radhika Apte shines and proves why she is one of the BEST actresses we have today in India. A really brave and honest act done by her in the film. There are some really good moments in the film, especially the one where the girls replace the usual Indian gaalis having a 'maa', 'behen' and 'beti' with 'tau' ,'baap' and 'beta'.Special mention to the child actors-Lehar Khan and Riddhi Sen for a tremendous job.
The standout scene for me however, is the 'leaked' love making scene between Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain with Mai Ri Mai played in the background. Apte is freaking brilliant!
Overall, could've been a much better film if it was not rushed and made less melodramatic but still a good but disturbing watch.

Phobia: Really good.. Radhika is such a good actress.. I felt bad for the guy but he was kinda stupid to start with lovey dovey-ness with a mentally unstable girl.. 😆 did Nikki die? great movie tho.. 3/5

Kriti and Ahalya: Watched both these short films by chance on youtube and they're both pretty good.. Manoj Bajpai should so more movies..

Rustom: An okay-ish movie.. Why was everyone in favor of Cynthia? She was a bloody cheater.. it wasn't only Vikram's fault she was equally a part of it.. Cynthia should've died too like wth.. most of the stuff didn't make sense.. 2/5
