Masaan: Poetry in motion. Sanjay Mishra's character & performance moved me more than anything else that I saw from 2015. Can't really rate or critique a movie like this, it's just art. Also, the score and music was amazing.

Ditto this...poetry in motion indeed...I think I was just at a loss for words to describe it, hence the short review...usually I'm able to ramble away...but this movie was art like you said...it was to be soaked in.

Sanjay Mishra toh...what do I say...everytime I feel I've seen his best, he brings something new to the table...I thought Aakhon Dekhi was his best but yes, his is the most moving character in this film...his sheer majboori, his love for his daughter, that is the most interesting relationship/dynamic in the film...

I also loved the touch with the ring...the cycle of life...a loss on one end gets converted into a joy on the other end...and that scene when Deepak finally manages to overcome his grief/find peace and purpose in life again...another bit I loved.

Just the way they handled the theme of catharsis via these characters was so beautifully done...truly one of the best movie-watching experiences for me in recent years.

The sheer silence of the movie has that impact on you, I think. All the emotions are internalized. No dialogues, no huge monologues or revelations or confrontations needed...such subtle treatment, and it amazed me how they managed to still touch on so many themes, stir so much emotion, without preaching or giving verdicts on anything. A very poignant, human, realistic snapshot of how life is out there. It honestly felt like I was flipping through a huge picture book...

Yeah, the portrayal of the parent-child relationships between both Devi & Pathak and less conventionally Jhoonta & Pathak was incredible...the scene where Devi tells him that she's going to Allahabad had me bawling. I just found it fascinating how this guy struggled to pay the money, supported his daughter, the tension in their relationship but the unconditional, unquestionable sense of getting through it for your own. In some ways, their relationship was so far from the stereotypical play of things that you'd expect in such a situation.

A movie to soak in is the best way to put it, yeah. I knew that at some point the storylines would converge, but I was so immersed, that for example when Pathak has a mini breakdown in the hospital and Jhoonta says he's got something to show him...it didn't even occur to me that he'd be pulling the ring out. That's movie magic...a rather simple plot point, but the moment preceding it has you so engaged and this ring/it's appearance has such significance to these characters' lives that it has deep impact.

Bajirao mastani : Acting was done brilliantly by ranveer but slb's drama was overdosed in the climax scene.
Deepika stole the show by her one liners though priyanka shared very little space but did justice to the role.
Overall 3/5

Mr and Mrs Iyer

Simple, still dramatic n kind of relevant to the times we're living in.
Koko n rahul Bose(that man!) Look great together. Direction n bg score make sure you area part of their dangerous yet interesting journey where they discover so much about each other.

That last scene when she calls him Mr iyer!

Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat:
WHAT THE F**K WAS THIS???!!!!! This shit came on TV... So basically she gets married to her rapist which is somehow some screwed up shitty way they gave "justice" to a rape victim THEN she falls in love with her rapist??????!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!! This movie totally 'glamorized' rape which is such a huge issue... So damn screwed up. How did nobody protest against this shit? It is so wrong on so many levels that it's infuriating.

No ratings for this shit...
