Dilwale .
Honestly speaking its not as bad as its made out to be - its a good mix of comedy, drama, action . Yes there are loopholes with editing, screenlay etc as i think rohit shetty tried to do too many things in this film with too many actors .There were things which were just rushed and not explored properly . For me it was a little on the loud side as well due to many gun fights But overall its an enjoyable clean family entertainment .

Being a shahrukh fan ,ofcourse, best thing for me was to watch him onscreen . After a long time he has looked this good with stubble and his performance was top notch , his romantic scenes with kajol specially his confrontation before daayre gave me goosebumps 😳 His fight scenes as kalli were superb too.

Kajol was absolutely gorgeous in bad-ass role full of surprises. I am not a big fan of her but she was a treat to watch and i can see why she did this movie .

Brothers bonding was very good and Varun managed to make me chuckle on his jokes .
Kriti also looked beautiful and did her part convincingly .

Songs were a treat to watch on big screen specially Gerua and i absolutely loved Daayre. Actually there weren't too many cars blown as the feel was given from the trailer . Few car chases we got in the movie were top-notch .

Personally i would suggest everyone to watch it just for being an entertaining paisa vasool movie . Obviously its a treat for srk, kajol and varun fans.

Bajirao Mastani- An essay- πŸ˜†

__________

This is going to be a really long so please ignore the post if you feel bored reading essays in review threads.

I have never read about Bajirao in school, it was never a part of our syllabus.I remember being fascinated visiting Shaniwarwada for the first time, it looked majestic- a fort right in middle of a busy street and that's how I actually heard about Peshwa Bajirao for the first time and got hooked to his story. I was way too excited seeing the trailer of the film and was expecting a lot and at the same time being skeptical because it was a Bhansali film and I hate Bhansali films. This was the first time I sat throughout a Bhansali film and genuinely loved every bit of it.

Completely mindblown after watching the film. It takes a lot of determination and guts to nurture one's dream movie for years and finally delivering such a brilliant output like Bajirao Mastani. I don't know from where should I start praising the film.Every single element (except Deepika Padukone;will come to that later) is just perfect! From that peacock feather to the burst of flower petals falling on Shaniwarwada to the whole hallucination of Bajirao- every single frame looks like a beautiful painting.Superb production values and cinematography. I loved how finally Bhansali gave up his obsessive bright color schemes and chose something more mellow and real.Beautiful recreation of Shaniwarwada, not even once did I find the sets look fake. The Aina Mahal, though a Bhansali addition was breathtaking.I loved the small intricacies woven into the storyline- like the Aina Mahal reflection, Kashibai blowing off the diyas, Radhabai walking in that covered white shamiana, etc.
Another thing that i loved was the way this film was beyond just good sets, song and dance--the typical Bhansali fare. I felt Bhansali really worked on a storyline this time and gave attention to content as much as the visuals. The way he has shown a pretty long period of time in three hours is commendable and not even once, does the film get boring despite being a historical film.

Then comes the characters and the cast. Except for Deepika, loved each and every actor in the film. It looked like they belong to the Peshwa era and not like some costume drama happening on screen. The characters were very well handled by Bhansali. Despite the image Peshwa Bajirao has among people who look up to him even today, I loved how Bhansali tried playing around with Bajirao's heart instead of his mind throughout the film. So many layers in the character brilliantly portrayed by Ranveer. And not just Bajirao, even the other characters-The command that Radhabai had over the society despite being a widow back then was visible throughout the film. Even that small moment when Bajirao's friend gives him the sword during the climax was so beautifully done.
But the biggest reason behind loving the film is Bhansali's handling of the character of Kashibai. I really feel attached to characters who are underdogs lost in pages of history books and I am so glad Bhansali gave Kashibai the perfect amount of screen space she deserved and that too, with a lot of respect for being such an integral part of Bajirao's life. So many shades in Kashi's character explored to it's fullest by Bhansali.I think Kashi was the only one in the movie whose character goes through such a transformation from start to end. Kashibai is the only character which I think will stay with me for a long time.Bhansali leaves the audience with a lot to think about what happened to Kashibai after Bajirao's death.

The trailers and songs have been deceiving to me. I didn't think the film would be so good after watching the songs and teasers so I thought maybe it's the same with Mastani as well since she looked the least interesting from the promos. Weird but the same holds for her in the film, atleast to me. Inspite of the film having her name, I feel Mastani was the biggest flaw in the film and I think the fault in the character started from the scripting stage and became worse in the casting stage. No second thought about the fact that Deepika has improved tremendously as an actress- her Piku and Tamasha are proof enough of her rise as an actress and not just a star, but Mastani was just not made for Deepika. I felt Bhansali chose her and Ranveer after Ram Leela only because of their on and off air antics and chemistry and while on one hand Ranveer has taken the character of Bajirao to another level, Deepika has just brought down the character to just a wooden showpiece. I know I'll be the only to say this but Deepika was so wooden in the film that she made Mastani such a boring character to even think about. I personally didn't see any drunk in love expression on Deepika's face, the grace that Mastani had or the warrior princess Mastani was. The fault also goes to Bhansali for sketching Mastani as a character without any depth. She was a warrior princess but the film made her look like Meerabai. Mastani also comes across as pretty creepy in the film. Kattar se shaadi kar lo lekin Bajirao ko mat bolo.Phir Pune jaao aur apna hak maango. I don't mean to demean Mastani- the warrior princess but that's how it felt like seeing her character. I just couldn't feel anything for Mastani except for the last chained sequence. The whole twirling around with sword to vent out her anger, the shayari, the dance-everything looked so fake and didn't work for me at all. Despite the beautiful set of Bundelkhand palace and a brilliant song in the Mohe Rang Do Laal sequence, Deepika ruined every single thing. No grace, no expressions; I was missing Madhuri so much in that sequence. Also,Deepika's pronunciation bothered me a lot, especially since she is shown to be from Bundelkhand. She really needs to work on her Hindi diction- like talvar pe sarrr rakkhoo instead of sar rakhoon in this film, mein bhaar khake aaongi instead of baahar in Piku, main kuch aur doondrein hoon instead of dhoondh rahi hoon in Tamasha; I know I'm nitpicking like a snob but it's very irritating while listening to dialogues with such bad pronunciation.πŸ˜† But yeah, Deepika and Mastani just didn't work out for me. They were the only boring parts in an otherwise brilliant film.

Another thing that I had a issue with was glorifying the love story of Bajirao Mastani and showing them as Heer Ranjha, etc. I know polygamy was usual back then and kings had several wives, most of whom they would marry due to politics than love but Bajirao wasn't a king and neither was he a womanizer. He and Kashibai already had a kid before Mastani entered his life. He could have married someone else apart from kashi but he didn't.Nowhere in the film do we see Kashi as a headache of bajirao, you know like bachpan mein shaadi kar diya,ab pati dharam nibhao. Baji was very much in love with Kashibai and it's seen in the film. So I don't buy this 'polygamy was usual back then' as a reason for supporting what Bajirao did.He technically cheated on Kashi and that is the truth. Same goes with Mastani. She fell in love with Baji, they have hardly shown Baji falling in love like Mastani in the first half of the film.(maybe Bhansali wanted to play safe) So despite being a warrior or having been shamed and tortured after coming to Shaniwarwada (which was bad), she is a home breaker. She knew Bajirao was married but still she went ahead and came to Pune in order to be accepted as Bajirao's wife.Keeping the issues with their religions aside, what they both did was technically wrong so I like the fact that Bhansali exploited the faults in the characters of Bajirao and Mastani but didn't like how he and his team passed off the faults in the name of love and tried to glorify it.On a philosophical level, these things work but not in reality.

And now, coming to the two shining stars of the film.Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.Sheer brilliance! From the trailers and songs, I felt Ranveer was overdoing it since I usually feel he overacts in his films but he completely blew my mind with his portrayal of Bajirao. That command that Bajirao should have, that confidence, his way of walking, his way of chanting Har Har Mahadev, like everything was just brilliant! I had a big doubt whether he will be able to pull off this role but kudos to the way he did it.Loved him in that hallucination sequence.Though a bit over the top, that's one of my favorite sequences in the film. That helplessness that the warrior in Bajirao has while seeing the approaching army and the longing for Mastani, knowing the condition she is in, that whole part was portrayed really well by Ranveer.
I usually don't like using this done to death term but can't stop myself but TAKE A BOW Priyanka Chopra.I am so happy she doesn't disappoint. She has been my favorite character throughout the promotion of the film and I can't express properly the way she has portrayed Kashibai in the film. The small nuances, the bit of Marathi that she throws in every now and then, the grace and that personality that the wife of a Peshwa should have-everything done so beautifully by Priyanka. Not even once do I see Priyanka in Kashibai. Her costumes, jewellery, dialogue delivery makes her look like the real Kashibai, as in if I read something about Kashibai, I can only imagine Priyanka and no one else. And this attachment for her character is not because she is probably the most positive character but like I said, because she is the most underrated character. And Priyanka actually portrays the character like that- you get a sense of how important Kashibai is in Bajirao's life but she is never in the forefront.Always behind her family's welfare, like a strong pillar of the wada. The way both Ranveer and Priyanka used Marathi, it looked so natural, not forced like other films. Easily one of Priyanka's career best performances.Subtle but brilliant. Inspite of the film being named Bajirao-Mastani, it is Priyanka who shines the most with Kashibai.

The album of the film is the best album of the year and a treat for classical music fans and I am glad most of the songs were picturized as beautifully as the songs.Malhari and Pinga could really be edited out.The songs were useless for the screenplay. I was so happy seeing the Albela Sajan song because the promo was disappointing. Right from the sound of the tutari to the riot of colors in Shaniwarwada to Kashi running with the diyas- such a gorgeously shot song! And Aaj Ibadat was such a grand way to close the film with the hindu chants and the qawali parts. Beautiful.❀️

I watched the film in the same city where all the action that I saw onscreen happened, so needless to say the theatre was houseful. I struggled to get tickets at decent prices but couldn't but I am really satisfied after spending Rs.300 for a movie like this. It was nice to see that i was not the only one after coming out of the theatres.

Despite the flaws and Deepika, i can't help but rate it a 5/5. I have never had such a magical experience before while watching a Bollywood movie.

Sorry for turning an essay into an essay. Just realized it's way too long.πŸ˜† Lekin jo bhi likha hain, dil se likha hai (I feel weird saying such a thing for a Bhansali film). I need more time to come out of the magic that I experienced while watching the film.

Bajirao Mastani:

I wanted to watch this film specifically for the grandeur that is synonymous with SLB's cinema and on that count, the movie delivers.

Positives:

1) The scale, sets, cinematography and bg score...major wins for me...I would like to make special note of the war sequences which I thought were quite well done in terms of building up the drama and using the bg score well...especially the "Ji ji re Baaji" score which I think is the single best piece of music in the whole movie.

2) Ranveer: Without a doubt Ranveer's best performance so far...he has been constantly evolving gradually as an actor over the last few films but his evolution is especially noteworthy in this film as he plays Bajirao with a swagger and confidence that really elevates the character. He's done a fabulous job of the war sequences too and brings a solid macho quality to Bajirao in that regard.
Only point where he falters a bit is the track with Mastani where some of the emotions look forced but that is a major mis-step in the writing.

3) Priyanka: To put it mildly, this lady eats everyone else alive in the film. This in a film which anyways has a towering performance from Ranveer, another actress playing the lead role with much more screentime...all this notwithstanding, PC sinks her teeth into every single scene of hers in such a way that she owns it...Special mention here of two scenes in particular which I felt sealed the deal in terms of showing what a seasoned actor can do with a scene...1) The dialogue with Mastani right before the Pinga song and 2) The scene when she tells Bajirao to never come to her room again...the second scene in particular is possibly my fav. scene in the movie for the sheer ACHE b/w Kashi and Baaji...

The supporting characters were about alright...nothing seriously noteworthy or standing out like the supporting characters of SLB's other films...Tanvi Azmi did good but it was not really memorable say in comparison to Suchitra Pathak's character in Ram Leela...in a sense it lacked the MADNESS of typical SLB theatrical characters.

Negatives:

1) Mastani and the entire premise of the "love story"...MAJOR STORYLINE FAIL...I went into this with an open mind despite the anyways questionable moral premise of the story cuz usually most other stories manage to humanize the characters enough in a sense that you feel for all three...like in Devdas...but this film...this project Bhansali claims was his dream from 12 years...in 12 years, he couldn't figure out a credible presentation for Mastani?πŸ˜•...

In a nutshell, Mastani BULLDOZES her way into Bajirao's lifeπŸ˜†...and we are supposed to buy this as some kind of "sufiyana Ishq" that makes everything ok...Bajirao at the max flirts with her mildly, gives her a dagger unknowing that it's a marriage custom in Bundelkhand...a fact that Mastani MANIPULATES in her favorπŸ˜•...and then proceeds to kiss him one night and later on demand that she be sent to Bajirao's palace as his brideπŸ˜†...Now I'm all for women's lib but even by today's standards this would be a stretch...and this was supposedly a time when women were kept in purdah...from that time they want us to believe a woman was brazen enough to impose herself on a man to this extent, not spare even a SINGLE thought for his wife even after he TELLS her he is already married?...On what planet did Bhansali think that ppl will want to get behind THIS love story?πŸ˜•πŸ˜†

What makes it all even more ironic is that Kashi-Baji actually have SOLID chemistry in that bath scene...this is all AFTER Baji comes back from having met Mastani...and after all that they want us to believe there was some Sufiyana ishq going on as per Mastani...it's almost like Mastani puts words in Baji's mouth and then he starts parroting her, "Humein ishq hai, mohabbat hai" lines and then both of them suddenly expect his family to magically accept herπŸ˜†

This ofcourse doesn't justify the humiliations and tortures Mastani is put through but the basic premise only is so WEAK when you show this character IMPOSING herself on these ppl, you find it very hard to sympathize with her.

There are flashes of connect...like Mastani fighting to save her son's life and all the war/fight sequences...felt DP did a great job of those...but the actual LOVE in this "love" story was ironically the weakest linkπŸ˜•πŸ˜†

Also the "kathak" sequence made me miss Madhuri real bad...felt like a random indulgence on Bhansali's part that I don't think DP has evolved to the degree to pull off.

2) Just adding to the first point...the imbalance of the moral high ground...they skewed the story so very much towards giving Kashi the moral high ground, then compounded the problem by casting PC who ate everyone alive in her scenes...thus leading the movie to be hollow at it's core in terms of emotions.

3) The ending didn't really work for me...it's a very metaphoric/subjective end that I felt dragged on a lot...to his credit, Ranveer gave it his all but ultimately it left me underwhelmed.

4) In the emotional scenes I found Ranveer to be faltering ever so slightly...like I could see he had a lot of emotion in his eyes but I feel he can improve still...this was especially apparent when he had PC opposite him playing out Kashi's hurt and bitterness and your heart just constantly goes out to Kashi...again coming back to that point ki they didn't even leave anything for Baji to defend himself in over this because of the way he alienated Kashi whether he meant to or not.

5) The music...it's a letdown overall...very average songs, not memorable like SLB's previous work...even RL had a more memorable soundtrack than this...and on top of that they cut out like 50% of the songs from the soundtrackπŸ˜•

Overall it's worth a watch for a dose of SLB's cinematic grandeur but on an unpopular note, I'd say even Saawariya had a better storyline than thisπŸ˜†

Philomena:

What an absolutely DELIGHTFUL film. One of the best I've watched in recent years. Just the right dash of dry British wit, humor and the the emotional story of a mother's search for her son.

Judi Dench is OUTSTANDING in this film. It's hard to believe this is the steely eyed "M" from the Bond movies...Philomena is ADORABLE with a capital A as a character, you just feel like cuddling her into a hug...and the way she just says the most irreverent things leaving Martin all nonplussed as he listens to her ramblings...lol...makes for some of the best moments in the film.

Beautiful story and beautifully made!

MY REVIEW: DILWALE. Full version can be read at 129762316
Watching BM tonight.

2/5 - What the hell was this sh!t?

Honestly, what the hell was this? Can I please request everybody to STOP comparing Dilwale with PRDP? I agree, PRDP wasn't the best but compared to Dilwale, PRDP is a GEM. .

Few Scenes I liked.

  • Srk-Kajol confrontation scene which I thought was going to be an interval but hell no.
  • Srk-Dhawan bonding. (crying scene)

but that's really it. πŸ˜• the rest of the movie was worst than sunil shetty's tank scene in jai ho. Oh and I'm not even gonna talk about all the lame 2 rupees jokes picked up from facebook memes.

Talking about interval, what the hell was Shetty thinking? There were so many instances for interval but nah, you're too cool for an interval? Let's drag this shit in circles until people start yawning and regretting being in the hall. Great.

This movie, and the fact Shahrukh came on board, which apparently was planned and executed within 3 to 4 months time, shows how DESPERATE he was to break records during holiday season. Clearly, EGO doesn't win. Never will. πŸ‘ Thank you Lord.

Shahrukh and Kajol looked good in a couple scenes only. The rest was very bad. It was clearly being over done. and what was that Jaan leloonga and Jaan leloongi? Such bad dialogues for an elderly couple. Rohit Shetty, they were suppose depict eternal RajSimran, so you should have kept it classy... not massy..Big time fail.

Something really funny and sad: From the flashback scenes to the current track scenes, Shahrukh looked equally old and soggy...πŸ˜† 😭 😭 ouch.. πŸ˜†

I felt bad for Shetty after watching his dramatic video in which he was acting all teary and telling people how bad he feels when he is mocked for blowing up cars. I was like okay yeah cute... people should appreciate his work.

but hey I take my sympathy back. Clearly this man does all this crap for the fun of it because HE ENJOYS IT. not because it's REQUIRED. He puts peoples life in danger because HE ENJOYS IT. not because it's REQUIRED.

So many cars destroyed for NO REASON. Literally no REASON. Way to blow money. Reminds me how Sooraj B blowed money by making the seesh mahal from scratch. What a waste of time and money!

Script = 0/5 πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜† there was no script. Rohit was like let's drag the non-existent story for about 2 hours and towards the end, the villain will come out of NO WHERE. (literally out of no where) and say okay fine..all this time we lied to you...and we regret...sorry...😭... πŸ˜† πŸ˜† and we will end the movie and just chill on our segways. πŸ˜† pfft.

Music. 5/5 . I love love love Janam Janam and It's worth 5 out of 5

Acting = SRK's overacting is out of this world. πŸ‘ and what Romantic Scenes were people bragging about on this forum? The only good scene was the last confrontation scene in which he aggressively pulls her towards him holding her neck. That was intense but that's it ... rest was as fake as kajol's skin color in the movie.

Dhawan = I loved this guy in Badlapur and I'm looking forward to his future work . But, the hell has he done in this movie? ..the way he was acting..his dialogue delivery... it was just so childish.. Maybe that was his character.. way to ruin a good actor mr. shitty πŸ‘

Kirti = non existent ... she literally had no presence.

Kajol...as much as I find her annoying ...she acted good. Gotta give her that! πŸ‘πŸΌ

Dilwale

Honestly this movie is not as bad as a few people found it to be. I had a lovely time watching it! 😳 Yeah movie was predictable, but still there were a few elements which came as surprises! 😳 And lastly I'll say that its a Rohit Shetty film, what else do you expect from him? πŸ˜›

Varun Dhawan as Veer had nothing new to do in the movie...His character gave me the vibes of 'Seenu', the character he played in 'Main Tera Hero'. But still, he was cute. ❀️ The way he innocently asks "Phir se chori ho gayi?" "Main phir so gaya?" πŸ˜† He also had some funny one-liners like "Main uske haathon mein dono ghadiya pehna dunga... Isse wo do ghadi ka mehmaan ho jayega!" And his "Bhai sambhaal lena" before doing that epic SRK pose! 😳

Kriti Sanon is pretty good as Ishita, but movie mein uska hona na hona almost ek barabar hi tha. :P

Now coming to the two major reasons because of which I had to watch this movie- SRK & Kajol. ❀️ Okay I agree if some of you say that the movie had no story, but lets just admit that SRK-Kajol still have the same chemistry here as they used to have earlier... Kaali (SRK) comes across Meera (Kajol) in Bulgaria, they start meeting each other frequently, develop liking for each other, after which it is revealed that Meera belongs to the rival team against Kaali.

I didn't read much of reviews before watching DW so seeing Kajol in a grey-shaded character came as a surprise to me! ⭐️ She was amazing! <3 And looked gorgeous in most of the scenes, especially in that black dress in 'Janam Janam' song (the one she wears while both dance at hotel or such kinda place :p)

I've always said that SRK was amazing in this role, in that role, and again, I'll say the same. πŸ˜† Because I might criticize his movies, but I can never criticize his acting skills! He emotes with his eyes man! The scene where his car is upside down and he sees Meera walking towards him with his rival gang was just too good! ⭐️ It was surprising for me too but seeing Kaali speechless was kind of heart-breaking for me πŸ’” He was too shocked to say anything, and couldn't even shoot her, since he loved her! πŸ₯Ί SRK 's expressions in that particular scene... <333

What I liked-

1. SRK and Varun's brotherly bond. 😳 Both are my favorites and watching them as brothers was no less than a treat for me.
2. Kaali/Raj's two friends cooking up a hilarious love-story of 'Ramlal' & 'Pogo' in front of Veer-Ishita 🀣 🀣
3. Amazing direction in the song 'Gerua' <3
4. Varun Sharma- I found him a surprise package! 😳 His outburst about having girlfriends and expenditure on them 🀣 πŸ˜†
5. Veer trying to talk to Raj about marrying Ishita 🀣 🀣 Poor Raj was embarrassed like hell 🀣
6. That little scene in the song 'Daayre' where Veer is sitting with a knife and Raj runs to him, assuming that he's attempting to suicide but then he shows him an apple πŸ˜†
7. Kaali-Meera's 5-minutes date <3
8. In the climax when Meera calls out 'Kaali' for help after Veer is injured by King & his men. :D
9. Lastly, Kaali/Raj and Meera's scenes Intense, romantic, lovely.. And the last scene, last dialogue will make you smile <3 😳

What I didn't like-

1. The ending. I dunno, somehow the ending could have been different. But again I'll say, this is what I expect from Shetty πŸ€”
2. Too many comedy actors in a single frame and least to get from them. πŸ€” The only saving grace I found to be was Varun Sharma, like I mentioned above.
3. Surprised by how a talent like Johnny Lever was wasted in this movie! He hardly got 2-3 scenes and a few dialogues, and honestly, he was my most favorite one from all the comic actors in this film.

What I didn't understand-

The only thing which I didn't understand that why Raghav came after 15 years 4 months and 10 days to tell the truth to Meera! 😳 He could have waited for a long time no? 😳*sarcasm* 15 years is a pretty long time to confess a damn truth! 😑 Or maybe he dreamt that both gangster's siblings' love life is in problem so now its a good time to tell the truth. πŸ€“

I also don't understand that why there's only the male version of 'Tukur tukur' in music album of Dilwale? I love the duet version! <33 Couldn't that be included? :/

Overall its a watchable movie, and a good movie for fans like me who can love movies like 'Chennai Express' and 'HNY' 😳 Not that I'm saying these are bad movies, but if these movies can break records, and DW too can do that. πŸ˜ƒ

My rating- 3.5/5

Dilwale
It's really a very very enjoyable movie.
SRKajol nailed it ❀️
Loved Kajol's grey shaded character.
She gave me a shock😲
The first half of Dilwale is full of twists and turns.
Last half was sweet.😳
Srk's expressions were mind blowing.⭐️
He was looking too sexy with beard ☺️
Kaali stole the movie ❀️
Varun & Kriti were cute.
SRK-Varun's relation were looking like real.⭐️
Comedy flicks were good & funny ❀️

I didn't like:
The story was going very fast. Rohit wanted to put everything in the movie so he ended up with messing the scenes & the story became too fast.
I didn't like Boman Irani aka King at all. He was doing over acting.
His comedy were unnecessary. I would love to watch King in a serious character.
The ending was too fast. It could be better.
.
.
Overall a very very good, entertaining family movie.⭐️
Srkajol lovers will love it ❀️
Must watch it to get entertained⭐️

Talvar

SPECTACULAR!

One of the finest films i watched this year. The plot, the direction, the acting were spot on.Most importantly the message of the film about sloppiness of criminal justice system, in investigations along with the media participation in making innocent look guilty even before being accused, were delivered to the audience flawlessly in a simplistic manner.

A simple double murder case which could have been solved within seconds ,took too much unnecessary twists and turns, due to the carelessness of the police department and the rivalry for power.

I love these kind of low budget movies with ample content and solidly structured.

FORGETTABLE !!

One of the worst movies i watched in a long long time.Really. What the hell was that? The story was so poor along with horrible direction. The ending was a joke.It wasnt even humorous, more like craziness and absurd. There were more interaction between the male lead and the father and the sister more than with the female lead. The cartoon animated scenes totally ruined the emotions. Would have preferred a real flashback.

The songs were utterly horrible, even though the choreography stands out.But being a grand wedding theme kind of film, the songs were ridiculous.

Most of the scenes really doesn't relate much.It doesnt connect well.Something was really missing.Too much overacting and cheesy dialogues.

Its funny how this director who gave us a memorable enjoyable film like Queen, is delivering this kind of worthless forgettable kind of movie.

The name of the movie really doesn't live upto its content and the story.

Tamasha
The ramblings of an injured mind.
Movie for me was divided into 3 parts-
Corsica- while I liked the concept ,the execution was trite and pretentious.
Delhi-my favorite part where I almost thought Vedh was going the path of Robert De Niro's Taxi Driver with his mirror talks and increasing bipolarity.
Alas! Simla happened and the story went back to being trite and pretentious.
Other than Vedh, the only other characters who made an impression were the autodriver who was actually someone else in his native land (that was the theme of the movie wasn't it -people being who they were not) and the hijra.
Tara was really a prop to Vedh.
