Chhello divas (Gujarati movie) - review

was housefull in Mumbai

Nothing unusual or pathbreaking, but overall a decent attempt on college life centric movie..drew good amount of laughs and has its moments, but one does get reminded of 3 Idiots to an extent..if only they could cut down on the toilet humour in places and instead replace it with more emotional bonding between the friends

Its nice to see Gujarati film industry bit by bit getting up on its feet..considering this one is the first Gujju movie running successfully in 200+ screens..I hope someday it produces extraordinary content driven movies too..for now, thumbs up to improved production values and the up and coming new talent..and atleast trying to break out of the crass dramas-turned-into-movies and Naresh Kanodia's awful legacy of bad movies (🤢🤢)

What a fabulous movie! Absolutely loved how they presented both the versions, one in which the parents are accused of the murder and one in which the parents are victims themselves.

It also clearly depicts the shoddy investigation done by the police team which literally obliterates whatever forensics they could have gathered from the crime scene and all that because the police themselves have already arrived at the conclusion that the parents are the murderers!

The movie does not clearly take sides, it just presents both versions. And that was beautifully done by Meghana Gulzar! 👏

Ofcourse, Irfan's role in the movie makes you wanna lean to the conclusion that the parents were wrongly accused of being murderers. Also with the servants confessing during the Narco test, one would think this should have been an easy open-and-shut case.

If the parents were NOT the murderers, it's pretty sad! It paints a very grim picture about our law enforcement, about the power of conducting media trials and the effects thereof and last but not the least, the appetite that we as public have to lap up all that's presented by media and arriving at conclusions even before the facts of the case have been gathered.

Another fine movie of 2015. And Irfan, too good! He excels in any and every role that he plays. What a fabulous actor!

My rating: 4/5

Worst movie of Shahid and he has done some horrible movies. 😡

London, Shahid, Comedy, Wedding theme could not make me watch it properly and understand what was that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hate Story 3 - 3/5 , much better than HS2 , KSG & Zarine were good.

Welcome Back - 1.5/5 , hardly 4-5 funny moments in the entire film , John & Shruti were a miscast.

The Usual Suspects - 4.5/5 , one of the best suspense thrllers i've seen

10 Things I Hate About U- 3.5/5 , a fun rom-com.

The Usual suspects is a damn good movie with layers of deceit, twists, and with an unexpected final twist in the plot ...Kevin Spacey was so damn good...That film was remade in hindi as Chocolate...

Spacey won oscar for this film.
Have seen chocolate years ago .. dnt remember it much but i think ending was different with everyone escaping in the end.
