He has to face the consequences of his mistakes. I dont buy the emotional distress and family drama (not that I dont feel for them) but we have all made stupid but life changing mistakes that we pay for. It was his choice to get involved with the underworld and make foolish choices. Tab kahan gaya respect, patriotism? As much I feel sad for him, I also think he should be held accountable for his choices and serving jail time is the way to do it.

I feel bad for Sunil dutt ji...My dad says he was a great soul and so so sooo different from his idiot son...Thank God he is not here today to go through this pain...

But as sad as this is, its not unfair...it sure has been delayed but I am glad at least its finally been served...

Sanjay Dutt, you are at least alive today and will be alive after serving the 5 years sentence too...but all those people who died because of your stupidity...they are NEVER coming back...What are you cribbing about anyway???

As if he will live in the prison like the rest of the non-celeb prisoners do. I can bet he will be provided with the basic comforts he needs if not all the luxurious comforts. And how can he say he will complete all his movies? The court has given him four weeks of time to surrender. He can't possibly complete everything in four weeks :s
WE might feel that Justice has come late but for those families who suffered cuz of the bombings, atleast justice has been done. For Sanjay Dutt, his punishment has come at a very late stage in his life but for the families of the victim, it hasn't come soon enough. But atleast it came. Feel bad for his family but not him. He's responsible for the emptiness that comes in a person's life after losing their loved one(s) and bcoz of him, this emptiness came in n. no. of lives. He can't bear to stay away for 3yrs from his family but those people have beared this pain for their entire life. Yes, it's a sad time for him and his family but his 3yrs don't seem that big compared to the lifelong pain those families of the victims will go through.

I guess in last 20 years, he has lead a very luxurious life (except for that 18 months in jail), married twice and boasted about bedding so many women. Whereas, the blast victims' families must have continuously suffered the absence of one of their own. That is what suffering actually means.
He is just trying to turn this into a filmy drama. He might be a nice guy but he did make a huge mistake. If he was that nice, then he should have honestly owned upto his mistake in the very beginning and followed the normal judicial process. Instead, he used all his clout and his relationships with high profile ministers as well as underworld to cheat the judiciary (as much as he could).
Did he ever care about the kids and family of the people who suffered in the blast? For once, the judiciary in India has delivered justice.

I feel so sad for Sanjay Dutt. Seriously all he did was hide the guns which Abu Salem and Dawood Ibrahim sent him to distribute and help the Muslim brothers avenge the wrong done to them in communal riots of Babri Masjid. All Sanjay Dutt did was talk a few times with Anees Ibrahim. In between the bomb blasts happened. Who cares. But Sanjay was so caring as to destroy all the guns but got greedy and kept one for himself. Oh no. Poor Sanju baba. He has paid his due. He has done charity to erase his past misdoings.Sheesh.

He didnt think about his future family and what consquences he will have to go through when he made the decision of possessing illegal arms?

I don't have any sympathy for anyone even if it was my familly. it is morally wrong. just becuase it's your family, what about the opposite? wonder what they will have to go through?

btw, when is salman going to jail?

I hope it's soon.
