How many of them even know what's there in the 18 chapters of Bhagwad Geeta? Its ridiculous how people crib and cry for every single thing...sometimes in the name of hurting the nation's sentiments...and sometimes in the name of hurting religious sentiments.I really don't intend to bring in religion here but I feel we all make things overhyped when it comes to religion when we ourselves don't really follow the religion well.I know the Geeta is a sacred text.have I read it?No.Same with the people crying over a scene from the movie. They are just waiting for an excuse to overhype things. But like Kal said,it is also important for the film to do justice as to why the dialogue has been used.

@Second para: Sure, thats your opinion. Its fine. In their opinion, they wanna file one against the movie. It's fine as well I believe. Differences in opinion, its just that.

I said it looks like the character is mocking the Geeta; not the movie. There is a big difference between the two situations.

As for filing complaints, I guess then it should be also be fine to file a counter-complaint against these people misusing scripture and severe lack of common sense. 😉

As long as someone wants to do and has time then please feel free to 😆 That will be their opinion and they're equally entitled to it as are these other two parties 😉

^.. Lol, whats that supposed to mean? 😆

He has threatened to stop exhibition of the film Agneepath at cine theatres if the offending dialogue is not removed.

Clearly, its the dialouge they have the problem with. Not the movie.

I don't know if its for publicity. Its possible and then again maybe its not. If it is then its sad on their part but if it isn't then I think it is ok for them to raise an objection.
To you its not written as an attack. To others it may not be an attack but offending. Every person has a different thinking and opinion you see. They aren't saying that the line is glorifying anything. Just that they dont find the use of such lines suitable or apt.
And mocking of a religion's sacred book can be offending.
They can write other lines to show his evilness. But they chose that. Bcoz to them it suited it and they used it. To the religious ppl its not suitable and they dont like it so they're raising an objection. It's fine I believe. Film makers liked it and used it in the film and the organisation doesnt like it and filed a case. Goes both ways.

@ blue... completely agree...!
personally, i find it in bad taste when people use 'art' and 'freedom of speech' to mock any religion... just becuase to them, it is not important and everything is for sale, does not mean it has to be for others...
but in any case... in the mechanical world of today, people hardly have time to stop and think about these things, i guess...!
the makers of the movie are definitely going to use this for publicity... i guess, anything to sell a movie, eh...!

Hey Sanam ji. Long time. Glad to see you :) sighs, how true is the bolded part.

And I agree with your second para very much. As I said for the film makers it was ok to use it but it doesnt have to be for everyone. The organisation who filed a case is not ok with the use of the dialouge so they filed a complaint. They have a right to. Now whether they're doing it for publicity or with a good intention is something I dont know as I am not someone who knows them personally. We can only guess. As I said its for the former part its sad and its its for the latter then they have a right. It is their freedom of speech. Just as the film makers thought it was ok for them to use the dialouge.
