Simi claiming to being so close to Mallaya's..calling Sid my dear friend(she actually believes she is 23😲)..claims to be close to Vijay Mallya and his grandmother too...

I am wondering if they planned the good cop bad cop strategy...Simi going on and on about DP..'did you have a fight with her' today etc and Sid outright denying it...so that He never is asked about their relationship by the media?

After the "I am a romantic" act on Simi Garewal's questionably desirable show last Sunday, Siddhartha Mallya flew into Mumbai with his friend, Deepika Padukone from London this afternoon, though not hand in hand.

Going by his statement on the show that he dates many girls but the media only picks up on the times he is seen with Deepika because she is famous, etc, he obviously wants everyone to believe this flight plan also falls in the same category. On the show, he even went on to say he was not the commitment sort of guy and would like to settle down when he's about 56 years old.

Deepika does make a convenient excuse for the much-abused term 'good friends' ' she is the brand ambassador for Kingfisher; she releases their annual calendars, having been one of the bikini girls before her Bollywood innings; now, she's also lending her neck for kisses from the Mallya scion when his IPL team, Royal Challengers, wins a match.

Deepika too, on the same show, had used her wide-eyed wonder look to feign ignorance of their dating status, much in line with Mallya's ambiguous statements on the show. She volunteered more information on her RK tattoo, explaining that she would not take it off even though she wasn't dating Ranbir Kapoor anymore because it held fond memories of their time together.

Now, if only good friendship could be redefined in the Oxford dictionary according to 24-year old Mallya's definition. It ain't happening anytime soon, so he should just live the good times and not lie about them. And just because they went home in their respective cars ' she in her Audi Q7 and he in his Mercedes ' isn't good enough to convince anyone they're just good friends.

Lol, that dude always has his mouth open and he's ugly. Deepika being with him just shows that she there for the money. There's really nothing desirable about this dude. And in this day and age, I don't really think anyone really cares how much money one has, especially in countries like Canada and U.S. Everyone makes a good living and can afford to live comfortably.

I had no expectations from this episode and promos made him sound like one spoilt brat. But from whatever he spoke ( or was made to speak ) on the show, He seemed decent enough and witty as well. But still, one can't really judge a person from just one television interview.

Actually doesnt Mr Mallya have another son, old enough to be Indias most
desirable?

Im thinking a dude who has that rich a dad, that high a lifestyle must be one
heck of an interesting person if he is so reticent that he never comes into
the limelight, shuns publicity, is content doing his own thing.

Simi, what say? how about you try to bring about the other sibling on your
show?

Sid Mallya maybe attractive to some, the kind who like flamboyant, high
living ones, but then there are those who prefer the quiet understated
types.

From what I have heard this whole Deepika-Sid thing i just a image makeover exercise devised by Mr. Father Mallaya. They needed to have Sid come across as happening and with it like his father since that is mostly what promotes the label and the business. And lets face it fat Sid was not charismatic from any angle. So then PRO exercise - buy a hot girlfriend, buy the best plastic surgeons and voila you have a hot thin stud (okay something went wrong here and they didnt get the results they were hoping for) with a hot trendly in-vogue right now girlfriend who gets paid an arm and a leg and a house in Peddar Road for her escort services. Now dont get me wrong here, not maligning Deepika or her character but its a pretty well known fact that a lot of actresses in Hollywood and Bollywood do the "will be seen with you" thing and get paid a bomb. Michael Jackson used to pay Brook Shields to be seen with him. And its not a bad job - she's just got to be seen with him and gets great presents, great perks and lots of moolah.

But sadly I think daddy's money is really being wasted -- Sid even though he tries to put on the playboy act doesnt come close to his father in flamboyance and okay got to say it sleaze with him pawing all the pretty young ones he comes around.

Sid is a nice little cute little kid whose trying to project the suave, cool, playboy image is just making him look stupid.

Also I think this show is about the image makers for the kids of friends of Simi. Ranbir needed to shed his playboy image and used the show with his parents to do a cleanup act and appear oh so clean and cute. And Siddy wants to get the playboy image - which sadly no amount of smart alecky questions and plastic surgery and beautiful company will get him.

BTW... isnt the show a tad bit staged with the questions and answers? Its like the guest has rehearsed the answers and knew the questions pehle se?

All this could be true..But the only son of a billionaire doesn't have to go through so much trouble and dont have to pay anyone for their services..Any girl will go out with them..haven't you seen enough on Tv?

Besides ..Billionaires..especially a sole heir has only one responsibility... has to keep his shareholders happy or .Their empire will come crashing down..They do like fast cars fast women and some photo ops..I have not seen much more anywhere.

Stars like MJ have to sell themselves..their persona..their talent and keep their rivals in the shadow as much as possible...to survive in the business they have to keep themselves in the limelight.

Vijay Mallya doesn't need a star son..On the contrary.. Who will learn and look after after his businesses😕...

Any way I think the show is pulled off the air..We are subjected to repeats of Deepika talking about goodlooking intelligent Sid all over again this week on StarWorld..TWICE TODAY..11 AM & 7 PM

Oh itsd not so much trouble and not such a big deal - they are used to spending money - a lot of it - and so why not for an image makeover for the future CEO? Image of the CEO is very important when runnign a business - thats what created Richard Branson and Vijay Mallaya ! The business after it is set up actually runs pretty much by itself - they all have highly skilled, highly paid people managing it for them. Do you think the Birla empire is working becasue of any input from Mr Yash Birla at all? It just keeps working now that its set up. Of course Vijay Mallaya was a brain as well and increased business so much more than his father did - but it doesnt look like Sid has too much of the talent. Of course wont bitch about that so early on - lets give Sid a chance ! But dont undermine image which is also VERY VERY important for the type of business the Mallayas do. Being seen with a top star does make more of an impression and gets talked about in print and news - good publicity. Just like he says on the show - his being seen with any other ordinary woman wouldnt have made so much of an impression.
