Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Ruhi disowns Abhira after learning she’s Akshara’s daughter

Star Plus' popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continues to captivate audiences of all ages. Following a three-month leap, Abhira and Armaan's marriage begins to show cracks as the couple grows distant from one another. Meanwhile, Ruhi and Rohit's relationship flourishes as they prepare to embrace parenthood. However, Sanjay stumbles upon a file revealing Manish's connection with Abhira and, in the process, realises that Abhira and Ruhi are actually sisters. 

In the current track, Sanjay confronts Manish, threatening to expose the truth about Ruhi and Abhira. Manish urges him to stay away from the family, accusing Sanjay of seeking revenge for past insults and not truly caring about Krish's future. Sanjay, however, is fixated on revealing Abhira's connection to Akshara, indifferent to the harm it will cause the Poddars. When Manish pleads with him to keep the secret, Sanjay demands a humiliating public apology, even at his feet, to which Manish reluctantly agrees.

In the upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, despite Manish's public apology, Sanjay will still reveal the truth about Abhira's connection to the Goenkas. He exposes that Manish has transferred half of his wealth to Abhira, leaving both families in shock, especially Abhira and Ruhi. Upon discovering that Abhira is Akshara's daughter, whom Ruhi believes is responsible for her mother's death, Ruhi loses control. She angrily pushes Abhira away, disowning her and refusing to acknowledge her as a sister. Ruhi insists that Abhira is the child of her mother's murderer. Abhira, unaware of her mother's past, is left confused by the situation.

Devastated, Ruhi runs back to the Poddar mansion, with Rohit following her. Meanwhile, Vidya breaks down in tears, creating a scene over Armaan's future, worrying about his marriage to someone whose mother is blamed for bringing tragedy to the Goenkas. Abhira tries to reach out to Ruhi, pleading with her to open the door, but Ruhi, emotionally shattered, tells Rohit to send Abhira away or she will lose her mind.

Rohit steps outside to meet Abhira, who is still calling out to Ruhi. At this point, Armaan arrives, and Rohit urges him to take Abhira away, closing the door behind him. Armaan comforts Abhira, reassuring her that even if no one else believes her, he trusts that her mother isn't responsible for the tragedy.

As the family gathers for Navratri celebrations, Armaan and Abhira's tension is visible, with Armaan suggesting he sleep elsewhere. Ruhi notices this rift. Sanjay tempts Krish with a career opportunity in exchange for silence about the truth. The episode ends with Manish bowing to Sanjay's demand and publicly apologising, leaving Ruhi and Abhira confused by his actions.
