Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Ruhi comes back to life after coma

In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a dramatic five-month leap reveals Poddar's daughters-in-law, Ruhi and Abhira, are visibly pregnant—Ruhi at nine months and Abhira at seven. Ruhi, anxious after hearing Abhira might have a son while she expects a daughter, seeks a priest's counsel for reassurance. Her quest ends tragically when she goes into labour, has an accident, and is rushed into surgery. 

Both women face delivery complications, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of Abhira's baby. While Ruhi's child survives, Ruhi slips into a coma with no timeline for recovery. Meanwhile, Rohit, hiding the truth, hands his baby to Abhira when she awakens, sparing her from the devastating reality of her loss.

In the upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the Poddar family learns part of the truth, but the full reality remains concealed that the baby Abhira believes to be hers is actually Ruhi's. Rohit had given the baby to Abhira, hiding the truth while Ruhi remains in a coma. With Ruhi still in a coma, the family tries to come to terms with the revelation while preparing to welcome Abhira, Armaan, and the baby into their home. Ruhi is brought back to the Poddar house for home-based medical care, with her health closely monitored.

As per family tradition, Kaveri performs the welcoming ritual, receiving Abhira, Armaan, and their baby with an aarti, while the Poddars shower them with flower petals, shifting their focus to joy despite the lingering sadness. Abhira, deeply moved, watches as her family celebrates the baby's arrival. Amid the celebrations, Abhira confides in Armaan, expressing her concern for Ruhi and imagining the grief she would feel if she ever learned of her loss. Just then, Ruhi begins to show signs of responsiveness, eventually opening her eyes. The nurse, noticing Ruhi's improvement, rushes to inform the family, announcing that Ruhi has regained consciousness.
