Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Abhira’s life hangs in the balance as blood loss threatens her survival

In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a dramatic five-month leap brings viewers up to date with the pregnant daughters-in-law of the Poddar family, Ruhi and Abhira. Ruhi, now nine months pregnant, and Abhira, at seven months, both show visible baby bumps. Abhira attempts to bond with Ruhi, but Ruhi's jealousy intensifies as she fears her child won't receive as much attention if Abhira's baby is a boy. Ever since learning that Abhira might have a son while she is expecting a daughter, Ruhi has become increasingly anxious. Driven by her fears, she decides to visit a priest to find out the gender of her baby and leaves the house in search of answers.

During her drive, Ruhi unexpectedly goes into labour and faces a car accident. The driver flees, leaving Ruhi unconscious. The Poddar family is shocked to discover Ruhi's disappearance, with Rohit revealing she left to learn the baby's gender.

In the current track, both Abhira and Ruhi go into labour, and the doctor gives Armaan and Rohit a heartbreaking choice to save their wives or the babies.

In the upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, both Abhira and Ruhi fight for their lives in the labour room, with their conditions deteriorating. The doctor had previously warned Abhira about the risks of delaying the surgery, as it could lead to severe blood loss. However, Abhira insisted on waiting for Armaan's arrival. As feared, the situation takes a turn during the surgery, with Abhira losing blood. The doctor urgently orders the nurse to arrange for a blood transfusion while Abhira is unconscious. 

After the surgery, Rohit nervously inquires about their child, only to be met with heartbreak as the nurse reveals that only one of the babies has made it through, leaving the family in a state of shock and sorrow. As the doctor brings forth the surviving baby, the lingering question remains: whose child has been saved amidst this tragedy?

Tensions rise as the Poddars and Goenkas argue, and Krish urges everyone to pray. The episode ends with uncertainty about the future of both Abhira and Ruhi.
