Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Ruhi suffers labour pain just before the accident

In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Charu sets up a competition between Rohit and Armaan, challenging them to dress up a doll while carrying a heavy bag on their shoulders to win. During the task, Rohit accidentally drops the doll, allowing Armaan to win the competition, which frustrates Ruhi. Upset, Ruhi decides to step away from the game. Vidya notices Ruhi leaving and asks where she's headed. Ruhi explains that she wants to avoid the loud music and would prefer to sit alone for a while, leading Vidya to accompany her.

Meanwhile, Sanjay approaches Kaveri to discuss things, but Kaveri dismisses him, saying she won't engage in conversation until Charu forgives him. Charu keeps her distance from Sanjay while Ruhi overhears guests speculating about her and Abhira's unborn children. They predict that Abhira might have a son who would continue the family legacy, while Ruhi's daughter would eventually marry and leave. Some women suggest that Ruhi and Abhira should consult a priest to predict the genders of their babies. Disapproving of their outdated views, Manisha firmly rebukes them, challenging their regressive thinking.

Ruhi decides to visit a priest:

Vidya reassures Ruhi not to worry about the baby's gender, but Ruhi remains anxious, wondering if Abhira might have a son. Later, Abhira excitedly tells Armaan that their baby is kicking, though Armaan is unable to feel it. They share an affectionate hug, and the baby seems to respond only when they embrace. Abhira confides in Armaan about her wish to reconcile with Ruhi before her delivery, and Armaan encourages her to reach out.

At the same time, Rohit learns that Ruhi is fixated on finding out if she's expecting a girl or a boy. Determined, Ruhi decides to visit a priest despite Rohit's efforts to dissuade her, as she believes the Poddar family doesn't fully value daughters.

Ruhi feels labour pain:

Abhira tries to connect with Ruhi about their children's bond, but a sudden pain interrupts her, causing everyone to rush to her side. The doctor assures Abhira she is alright, but Ruhi remains set on consulting the priest. As she drives, she feels labour pains, realising her baby is arriving soon.

The Poddar family is shocked when they discover Ruhi is missing. Rohit reveals that Ruhi went out to inquire about the baby's gender, leaving Vidya and Manisha stunned. Ruhi tries to contact Rohit, but in an unfortunate turn, another car collides with hers. The episode closes with Ruhi getting into an accident and falling unconscious while the man flees, assuming she is dead.
