"Fighter females are definitely in."
" I have enjoyed the success my work has
brought me. Some might say I haven't really struggled to be successful.
I think it is my perspective that is utopian. My state of mind is
positive and peaceful. And I dare to dream. "
" I
would like to say I handle criticism well. In fact I enjoy reading the
comments of the critics. It's great to have critics blasting you all
the time. It keeps you on your toes, spurs you, challenges you, makes
you want to get better. I take everything positively. There's so much
to learn and do. "
" Just because I'm an actress, why should anyone dare to assume that I have no morals? "
" Guys just get carried away. So
it is very difficult to say whether I will marry an actor. There are a
few successful marriages in the industry too, but still I feel that the
first choice should be the last choice and that is also the reason why
I haven't got a boy friend. If I decide to go around with a guy, I
would want to marry him otherwise it doesn't make sense. So not just
marriage but I must say that relationships are forever. "
" My co-stars call me
selfish. They say you are only interested in yourself and what you are
only interested is yourself and what you are doing in front of the
camera. I reply, I can't help it; it's what got me where I am. "

Women's day, we say, is only one day celebrating
what should in fact be implemented everyday of the year - a universal
women equanimity and empowerment beyond a myth. And in striving to be
superior than we are supposed to be, one must look up to the rightful
idols.
It is a fortunate affair that despite the inherent struggle attached to the rise of the female statum of tinsel town, in many ways more exploited and treacherous compared to the males, Bollywood has seen its fair share of feminine stardom.

" For
me, it went beyond being a beauty queen. For me, it was about being the
20-year-old girl from India on international platform and a lot of
people actually would assume that I wasn't even educated in India
because of the way I'd speak. And they'd be like, 'Have you studied in India? Do you actually speak English out there?' and, I was like, 'This is so interesting that so many people know so little about my country.' and this is exactly what I wanted to do when I set out on this little mission in my head."

"I don't party, I don't get drunk and I don't have affairs. So all my passion goes into my work."
"Fighter females are definitely in."
"For
those who suffer silently, I would say look within. There is an inner
strength within each woman that can help us overcome just about
anything. Also people around us like friends, relatives, colleagues
etc. can help. There are several options but the first thing that needs
to be voiced and changed is the attitude that a man does not have the
right to raise his hand on a woman. "
" I am confident I'll be noticed for who I am. Insecurity is a word that doesn't exist in my head. "
Malika Sherawat
Konkana Sen Sharma
" I don't think it makes a huge difference if you are 30 and a virgin or 25 and not a virgin. I am not so keen on getting married very soon. I hope I meet the right person though. "
" It's so ironical. When you finally achieve recognition, you hide behind dark glasses. "
" In two years, I have
reached this far despite being a rank newcomer. It's a nice feeling.I
have never been on a film set nor assisted anybody in direction. But I
am definitely not satisfied. I am still learning a lot. "
" Women
are promiscuous too, but when they are, they do even that with
emotions. I really don't know how I'd react if I was the other woman in
real life. Ideally, I wouldn't want to be in such a situation. However,
I can't promise that I'll never be a souten. Life has a way of springing shocks on you. One must never challenge destiny. "
" Himachal Pradesh is proud
of me, I keep getting calls from there. I am very happy now, but I'm
sure when I'm older I will miss being a student and not going to
college. I should be writing love letters at this age. Instead I'm
working day and night. Then again, you can't get everything in life. "
