War 2: Has YRF agreed to compensate Naga Vamsi who faced heavy losses with the Telugu dubbed version?

War 2 has not turned out to be the huge Pan-India success as it was touted to be. After a week, it has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark at the global box office. The budget of the film is said to be Rs 400 crores. We have to see if it manages to break even given the poor reviews from the audiences and critics. The movie was dubbed in Telugu and Tamil. In the Telugu belt, the rights were bought by Sithara Entertainment for a staggering Rs 80 crores. The deal was much publicized given how Jr NTR is one of the biggest stars in the region.

Now, reports are coming on South movie handles that YRF is going to compensate Naga Vamsi to the extent of Rs 22 crores. It seems he was headed for losses to the tune of Rs 50 crores. He will get Rs 10 crores for the Nizam belt, Rs 7 cr for Andhra and another Rs 5 cr for CEDED. The producer had gone to Dubai for a few days in between. He got trolled online for the poor performance of War 2 in the dubbed Telugu version. 2025 has been a tough year for him so far.

The people who watched War 2 in those states watched the Hindi version. As we know, they prefer watching in the original language. Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut was supposed to be a huge affair. However, many did not like how he was presented in the movie. Reports have come of how the original script had his death in the counter mission, during the assassination of the PM. However, he told the producers that his fans would not like it if he died on screen. So, the ending was kept open. This means he can enter the Spy Universe in the future.
