Vedaa Trailer

The trailer for the highly anticipated action-thriller Vedaa, starring John Abraham and Sharvari, has just been released. Set to hit theaters on August 15, the film promises a gripping tale of social justice and rebellion against oppression.

In Vedaa, John Abraham returns to his action-packed roots, but this time, he plays the role of a mentor. His character helps Sharvari’s character, Vedaa, fight against a system entrenched in casteism and untouchability. The trailer, which dropped on August 1, shows that this movie is more than just high-octane action sequences—it also tackles serious social issues.

The trailer opens with John Abraham reciting lines from the Bhagavad Gita. His character, seen engaging in intense hand-to-hand combat, states, “Whenever there will be decay in righteousness, he will defend Dharma.” This sets the tone for the film’s exploration of morality and justice. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bannerjee’s character represents the oppressive system, torturing villagers and declaring his belief in the caste system. In response, Sharvari’s character challenges this view, asking, “If caste system is everything then what is the need for law and constitution in this country?”

As the story unfolds, villagers pray for a protector. Sharvari’s Vedaa turns to Major Abhimanyu Kanwar, played by John Abraham. Abhimanyu is an ex-army man who was court-martialed for disobeying orders. He trains Vedaa in martial arts and boxing, preparing her for a fight against discrimination. Despite the support from her mentor, Vedaa faces the challenge of battling for social justice on her own.

The trailer showcases thrilling action scenes featuring both John Abraham and Sharvari. It concludes with a dramatic moment where an injured John Abraham tells Sharvari, “I am just a sarthi (charioteer), you have to break the chakravyuh,” pointing to a military formation. Sharvari’s character responds with determination, saying, “Even if I don’t survive, I want to die while fighting.”

Vedaa draws inspiration from the Mahabharata, referencing Lord Krishna’s relationship with Arjuna and naming John Abraham’s character Abhimanyu. The film also features glimpses of Tamannaah Bhatia as John’s love interest and Mouni Roy in a dance sequence. Produced by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment, and directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa is set for release on August 15.
