Vedaa: John Abraham finds support from co-star Tamannaah Bhatia after his 'Bad Questions and Idiots' remark

John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh and Tamannaah Bhatia play lead roles in Vedaa. The actor has teamed up with Nikhil Advani for an action drama with the backdrop of untouchability. John plays the role of a soldier who has been court-martialled from his regiment. He becomes a mentor to a girl from lower caste who wants to seek revenge for wrongdoings by upper caste people. While this kind of story has been told before, what sets Vedaa apart is the action sequences. When John Abraham was asked about doing repetitive action movies, he said he felt like calling out bad questions and idiots. 

Tamannaah Bhatia has come to the defence of her co-star John Abraham. She said people will get to see something very different here. Tamannaah said while people associate John with action films, the genre can tell stories with deeper themes. Sharvari Wagh is the female lead. She looks dope in the action scenes. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be headling YRF’s Alpha. Tamannaah wrote on X, “Don't judge Vedaa by its cover - Trust me when I say, it's more than just an action film! Actor Abhishek Banerjee whom we saw in funny roles in Stree is the main villain here. He has played a baddie in Apurva (2023) too. John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani have done many movies together. The macho star said it was stupid to assume what kind of a film Vedaa was after just seeing the trailer. He said people should watch it first. Tamannaah Bhatia is getting love from her fans for her wonderful words for the team. She is a part of Stree 2 and Vedaa. 

A netizen wrote, “Tamannaah Bhatia is enough in a film for me to watch it in theatre. You are a super actress.” Another person also wrote, “I will see VEDAA and STREE 2 in theatres only to see the performance of my favorite star Tamannaah Bhatia. All the best madam." 

Vedaa is in a three way clash with Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein. The actors said it does not bother them as long as fans love them, and come to the theatres. Bollywood is going through a lean phase. Ulajh and Auron Main Kahan Dum Tha got very bad opening at the cinema halls despite names like Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Janhvi Kapoor.
