Varun Dhawan celebrates 'Raja Babu' re-release at comedy film festival, starring Govinda and Karishma Kapoor

Varun Dhawan recently shared his excitement about watching the classic film Raja Babu starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, as it returned to theaters. The movie, directed by David Dhawan, was part of a comedy film festival currently being held.

On August 5, Varun took to Instagram to give his followers a sneak peek of his movie-watching experience. In his story, he shared a clip from Raja Babu, showing Govinda in a stylish navy outfit with sunglasses, striking a pose for a photoshoot. Varun's post featured the movie's title with festive fireworks emojis, highlighting his enthusiasm for the film.

Varun’s Instagram stories also included another memorable scene from the movie, where Govinda dances to the popular song "Pak Chik Pak Raja Babu" alongside Shakti Kapoor. He tagged Govinda in his story, celebrating the actor's return to the big screen. Varun also shared a glimpse of Karisma Kapoor from the song "Mera Dil Na Todo," where she dances with Govinda.

Raja Babu is being screened at PVR-INOX theaters as part of the ongoing Comedy Film Festival, which started on August 2 and will run until August 14. The festival is showcasing several classic comedies, including Masti, Golmaal Returns, and Partner. This re-release gives fans a chance to enjoy these beloved films on the big screen once more.

The 1994 film, directed by David Dhawan, also featured Kader Khan, Aruna Irani, and Shakti Kapoor in important roles. The story revolves around Raja Singh, played by Govinda, who is adopted by a wealthy village couple. Raja Singh falls for Madhubala, played by Karisma Kapoor, but she initially rejects him due to his lack of sophistication.

On the professional front, Varun Dhawan is preparing for upcoming films like Baby John, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Earlier this year, he made a cameo appearance in Sharvari Wagh’s film Munjya.
