Triptii Dimri began her Bollywood journey with Laila Majnu, but it was her remarkable role in the Ranbir Kapoor film Animal that propelled her to national fame. Despite facing doubts from her own relatives about entering the film industry, Triptii persevered. In a recent interview on Katrina Kaif’s Kay Beauty YouTube channel, she shared her story, mentioning her roots in Uttarakhand and upbringing in Delhi, where her family still resides. Triptii also opened up about the challenges she faced when moving to Mumbai, where she had to navigate daily encounters with crowded rooms.

“I am from Uttarakhand, but I was born and brought up in Delhi, so my parents and family are in Delhi… It was difficult for me when I moved to Bombay (Mumbai), to go out every day in front of more than 50-60 people in a room. There are people in the society and in my family also who said mean things to my parents. Things like ‘Why have you sent your daughter to this profession? She is going to get spoiled; she will hang out with the wrong people, she is going to make wrong choices for herself, no one is going to want to marry her, she is not going to get married now’," Triptii shared during the chat.

Triptii revealed that there was a period when she felt lost and hopeless, particularly when she woke up to no work. Nonetheless, she was resolute in her decision not to return to her parents. . “One thing I knew was that I could not go back to my parents and tell them, ‘No, I have not done it’."She shared that her parents felt proud of her following the success of her debut film, Laila Majnu. The movie was recently re-released in theaters and garnered more revenue than its initial release.

Triptii talked about earning the title of the "national crush" post her performance in Animal. She expressed gratitude, noting that her journey had been quite distinct before. Throughout her career, spanning older and newer films, she has been showered with immense love from her audience. “I would like to thank God, because in my experience, it has been the other way around, as many films I have done in my career, whether they are the older films that I did earlier, or the ones that have released recently, I have received a lot of love from my audience. People have liked my work and have spoken about it," she said, wrapping up.

Triptii Dimri's upcoming project is alongside Rajkummar Rao in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. In her personal life, she is frequently spotted with her rumored boyfriend, Sam Merchant. Previously, there were rumors about her dating Anushka Sharma's brother.
