Sumeet Vyas is currently gearing up for the third season of his popular web show Tripling. The show is also about a family taking road trips for various reasons and discovering each other's lives during the journey. Sumeet features on the show along with actors Maanvi Gagroo, Amol Parashar, Kumud Mishra, Shernaz Patel and Kunaal Roy Kapur

According to you, is there any similarity between your character – Chandan and Sumeet?

Yes, some. Maybe more than some that I'm not aware of, but some are conscious quirks that I have in my life which Chandan has borrowed. Chandan is also a little delusional, he thinks that he's doing everything right when there's nothing right about what he does and how he conducts himself. He’s all over the place. And that's the beauty of it because most people in life that I know are exactly like that.

How has your equation with Maanvi and Amol evolved across the various seasons?

I mean to be honest we kind of hate each other, (laughs), it’s only become better because when we had started Tripling, I had known them from before, we had done plays together, we are part of the same theater circle. But it was the first time that we were actually spending that much time together and working on a project, so there was a little guardedness in the first season. We all have our own quirks which came into play and nothing major, but I could sense that there is a certain sense of discomfort that we are feeling which sort of eased out because the first season did well and eventually the result was good, all of which made sense. Then in the second season when we came back, we were much calmer, there was more trust in each other, we understood how much space who needs. Contrary to his character, Amol is a very private person. He takes a lot of time, he takes his space and he’s actually a lot like Chandan I think, in life. In the first season I was not really good to him because I had certain ideas, the way I'd written it and I would just be very anal about it like this is how it should be done. Everyday I would put him in a lot of misery then I would go back to my room and regret it, (laughs). But he never said anything and that would make me feel even worse. But by the second season I also sort of learned, I think as you spend more time with people and grow older with people, it's easier for you to forgive a lot of smaller things because that's the only way you can sustain any relationship.

Also Sumeet has also written the screenplay and dialogues in collaboration with Abbas Dalal.
