Sidharth Malhotra to romance Sreeleela in Mitti? Here's what reports suggest

Sidharth Malhotra has been choosing varied genres, and his next is Mitti. The star is busy with the shoot in the stunning locations of Uttarakhand. Now, reports are coming that makers have roped in the stunning South Indian actress Sreeleela. She was seen in Guntur Karam with Mahesh Babu. This is her launch pad in Bollywood. After Rashmika Mandanna in Mission Majnu, she is the second South Indian actress to make a debut with Sidharth Malhotra. It seems she will have an author-backed role in the movie. A source told an entertainment portal that she said a yes to the role instantly. She is keen to work with Sidharth Malhotra, who is known to be a gentlemanly and supportive co-star. Sreeleela who had a streak of hits in Telugu films had a rather lean 2023. Her movies like Skanda, Bhagvanth Kesari, Extra Ordinary Man and others tanked badly. 

It seems Mitti will have a start-to-finish schedule in North India. The source said, “The pre-production is going on in full swing and the makers are committed to take the film on floors in the winters. Mitti is a rooted action-family drama, a genre which explores the intense side of Sid, and the actor is also excited to step into this world of Balwinder Singh Janjua directorial.” The filmmaker has been writers of movies like Tera Kya Hoga Lovely and Saand Ki Aankh. It seems Mitti is a human drama with a lot of action. It is about living with the baggage of guilt. It is about a man who tries to redeem himself and his sense of belonging by saving his home, land and his roots. It is about family and relationships. 

Sreeleela was supposed to debut with Varun Dhawan in the David Dhawan movie with Tips. But Ramesh Taurani has denied the same. He said they are looking for a suitable female lead for the film. Ananya Panday might step in for Sreeleela. They also denied approaching the South actress for the film. The filming of the movie began from July in Bandra’s Mehboob Studios. A big chunk of the movie will be shot indoors.
