Siddhanth Kapoor gets bail following the drug consumption case

Actor Siddhanth Kapoor may breath a sigh of relief after granting bail on being arrested during an alleged rave party in Bengaluru on Monday. According to ANI, Siddhanth, who was a DJ at a party at a swanky hotel in Bengaluru alongside numerous others, was granted station bail.

He will have to appear in court as and when he is summoned in the matter. According to ANI, a police probe is presently underway in the case. DCP East Bengaluru Bheema Shankar Gulled told ANI, "Actor Shraddha Kapoor's brother Siddhanth Kapoor and four others have been released on station bail. They will further have to appear before the Police as and when called."

It was reported yesterday that the Police had detained Siddhanth from the party along with 35 other people. Shraddha's brother was apprehended by the Bengaluru Police after testing positive for drug usage.

Bengaluru Police raided a posh hotel after receiving a tip. While the officers did not discover any narcotics on the people detained, they did discover MDMA and Ganja disposed of nearby. DCP Guled told ANI, "We didn't find any drugs on their person but found MDMA & Ganja disposed of nearby. We'll investigate CCTV to check who disposed of it."

After Siddhanth's arrest, his father Shakti Kapoor shared his thoughts with  ETimes and expressed shock over the matter. He had told ETimes, "I can say only one thing - it’s not possible." Later, talking to Hindustan Times, Shakti Kapoor had said, "I’m in Mumbai and I don’t know what is happening. I got to know from news channels only. All I know as of now is that there is no arrest and Siddhanth has only been detained."

Siddhanth is an actor, who started his career as an assistant director and worked on a number of hit films.
