Popular Bollywood composer Shankar Mahadevan is all charged up to bring his sound box to the capital with the 'Shankar Mahadevan Nite' here on Friday.
The event is being held in collaboration with VIDYA, a not-for-profit organisation educating and empowering the less privileged, and the Shankar Mahadevan Academy. It will be held at Ficci Auditorium here, read a statement.
Shankar, along with his associates Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendosa is best known for composing songs for films like "Dil Chahta Hai", "Kal Ho Naa Ho", "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna", "Wake Up Sid" and "Dil Dhadakne Do".
Last month, the hugely successful trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's concert at the Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi had to be stopped over a 'student injury' and for security reasons.
Shankar's forthcoming musical celebration is also being held to commemorate 30 years of VIDYA. He has trained around 600 children of VIDYA and will be performing with them during the musical night.
